Itinerary
- Day 1
Munich
You'll arrive in Munich and have the day to get your bearings. Check out the English Garden if you're up for it, or swing by Marienplatz to see the Town Hall and all the activity in the square. The Hofbräuhaus is right there if you want to grab a beer and soak in the local scene. Otherwise, settle into your hotel and rest up before cycling begins tomorrow.

Munich to Murnau am Staffelsee
Your cycling adventure starts from Munich, heading through Forstenrieder Park and then onto Lake Starnberg. From there, you'll pick up the lakeside path to Seeshaupt and keep going through small Bavarian villages, passing Osterseen and Riegsee lakes along the way. The route takes you to Murnau am Staffelsee by evening, so you're looking at a good day in the saddle.

- Day 3
Murnau am Staffelsee to Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Today's a shorter cycling day, which gives you flexibility. You'll go through the Murnauer Moos, Europe's largest moorland, then follow the Loisach river to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Since the distance is manageable, you can ride the Zugspitze cable car up to 2,962 meters/9,718 feet if you want those Alpine views, or just relax around town.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Austria
You'll ride along the Isar path through a high valley with the Karwendel and Wetterstein mountains in view the whole way to Mittenwald. Once there, take time to see the Lüftl paintings that make the town distinctive. After that, the route gets pretty spectacular through the Leutasch valley as you cross into Austria, following the Leutasch stream to your accommodation.

- Day 5
Leutasch to Imst
Head toward the Inn Valley on rolling country roads, then drop down eight kilometers to Telfs. From there, cycle along the Inn on the old towpath past the baroque Stams monastery. Keep going through Haiming and on to Imst, which locals call the 'Meran of North Tyrol,' so you'll get a sense of why it's worth a stop.

Imst to St. Valentin
You'll cycle along the Inn past Zams monastery to Landeck, then a bus picks you up with your bike for the ride to Nauders. Once dropped off, you'll climb about 70 meters/230 feet to Reschen Pass, then descend to Lake Reschen and follow the cycle path down to St. Valentin for the night.

St. Valentin to Merano
Start the day in Glurns and walk around the perfectly preserved medieval town wall before getting back on the bike to Merano. The route goes through Schlanders, past the Montani ruins, and you'll see castles and palaces along the way, including Juval Castle where mountaineer Reinhold Messner lives. You'll also get views of the Ortler massif and Stilfserjoch. If cycling this section feels like too much, the Vinschgau railway between Mals and Merano is an option.

Merano
Your tour finishes in Merano. If you're not done cycling yet, you can continue on to Lake Garda. Otherwise, you'll arrange your departure transfer from here.
