- Day 1
Casablanca
You'll arrive at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca where a driver meets you. From there, the day focuses on checking out the city's main spots: United Nations Square, Mohammed V Square, the Central Market, and the Habous Quarter. You'll also see the Hassan II Mosque, one of Africa's largest functioning mosques. It's a good introduction to the city's layout and character.

- Day 2
Casablanca to Rabat to Chefchaouen
This morning you'll travel north to Rabat, Morocco's capital and one of four imperial cities. You'll spend time at the Kasbah des Oudaias, Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, where you can see the traditional zellige tilework. Later in the day, you'll continue north toward Chefchaouen, the famous Blue City in the Rif Mountains. After arrival, you'll walk through the medina and see the distinctive blue-painted walls that make this place so recognizable.

- Day 3
Chefchaouen
The morning brings a moderate hike to Akchour Waterfalls with a local guide, offering nice views of the Rif Mountains. You'll head back to Chefchaouen and grab lunch at a family restaurant. After lunch, you can get henna tattoos done, which is a traditional Moroccan practice with intricate designs painted on hands and feet. If henna isn't your thing, your guide will show you around and talk about local life and history instead.

- Day 4
Chefchaouen to Volubilis to Meknes to Fes
You'll start early to visit Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Roman site and Morocco's best-preserved Roman archaeological location. After that, you'll head to Meknes, the small imperial city, and walk through its medina. By afternoon, you'll arrive in Fes, Morocco's spiritual capital, which is split into three areas: Fes el-Bali (the medina heart), Fes el-Jdid (Jewish Quarter and Royal Palace), and Ville Nouvelle (the administrative area).

- Day 5
Fes
A local guide will lead you on a six-hour walking tour of Fes and its medieval medina. You'll see the Royal Palace gates, the Jewish Quarter, and hike up to ruined forts for views across the city. The pottery quarter shows you how traditional blue pottery and tiled mosaics are made. You'll wander through the medina's twisting streets where artisans work, leather tanneries operate, grand mosques stand, and madrasas line the paths. Dinner is on your own in the evening.

The focus is on understanding the unique spices and herbs that define the country's food culture.

- Day 7
Fes to Merzouga
After breakfast, you'll head toward Merzouga in the Sahara Desert. Along the way, optional stops let you see wild Barbary apes, visit the mountain towns of Azrou and Ifrane (called the Switzerland of Morocco), or learn about nomadic life in Erfoud. Upon reaching Merzouga, your guide provides clothing and equipment for a camel ride through the desert to a sunset viewpoint. You'll spend the night at a Bedouin camp with dinner in a restaurant tent and evening entertainment from local musicians.

- Day 8
Merzouga to Tinerhir
You'll wake early to catch the sunrise outside your Bedouin tent. Then you'll meet your driver and travel to Rissani, a market town with an impressive gate. From there, you'll move through the desert past oases and palmeries to reach Tinerhir, where you'll see the green river oasis with palm trees surrounded by impressive desert buttes, mesas, and plateaus. You'll walk through Todra Gorge, a natural limestone formation with a dried-up river bed. After checking in at your accommodation, you can relax.

Tinerhir to Ouarzazate to Aït Ben Haddou
You'll drive to Ouarzazate, a popular Sahara stopping point in a valley at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. There you'll see its historic 19th-century palace and movie museum. Continuing on, you'll reach Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO Heritage Site village with a protected fortified kasbah that looks frozen in time. The location's been used for filming Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, Jewel of the Nile, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones. You'll walk to the top of the kasbah for sunset views.

- Day 10
Aït Ben Haddou to Marrakech
You'll drive through the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi N'Tichka Pass, the highest major mountain pass in North Africa, with stops to see Berber villages and take photos. Then you'll arrive in Marrakech, one of Morocco's four imperial cities near the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. After checking in, you'll head to Jemaa el-Fna Square, the main square filled with acrobats, dancers, musicians, and storytellers. By evening, the square turns into an open-air restaurant with dozens of food stalls.

- Day 11
Marrakech
With a local guide, you'll visit Marrakech's gardens outside the old walls: first Agdal Gardens and Royal Palace, then Menara Gardens with olive groves and Atlas Mountain views. You'll pass through Gueliz, the modern European quarter, to reach the Majorelle Garden, a botanical garden created in the 1920s by Jacques Majorelle (now owned by the Yves St. Laurent estate). Back in the old medina, you'll explore historical palaces, museums, the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and Koutoubia Mosque. You'll also walk through the souks and have dinner before returning to the city center for evening entertainment.

- Day 12
Marrakech
You'll experience a traditional Moroccan hammam, a bathhouse that's a unique way to experience local culture. Groups separate by gender when you arrive. You'll move through a warm dry room, warmer room, and steam room. An attendant applies black olive-oil soap (savon beldi) and scrubs you with a kessa loofah for thorough cleansing and relaxation. After the treatment, you'll return to your accommodation to rest or continue exploring Marrakech.

- Day 13
Marrakech to Essaouira
You'll travel to Essaouira, a coastal city on the Atlantic Coast formerly known as Mogador. It's an 18th-century town with medieval-looking battlements facing rocky offshore islands. You'll walk through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed medina with whitewashed, blue-shuttered houses and colonnades. The small functional fishing harbor adds to the character. You can spend the rest of the day relaxing or shopping, enjoying the calmer feel compared to Marrakech.

- Day 14
Essaouira
This is a free day to explore Essaouira on your own. You can spend time at the beach with your family, then wander through the medina. Take photos at Moulay Hassan Square, the central square lined with restaurants, cafes, and hotels. You might visit the port to see blue wooden fishing boats and the Portuguese Castelo Real of Mogador. The mellah or Synagogue Haim Pinto (named for an 18th-century rabbi) are also worth checking out. The fish markets show fishmongers at work. Essaouira keeps its artistic heritage from its 1970s hippie days.
