Itinerary
- Day 1
Luang Prabang
You'll drive about 30 minutes out to Tiger Trail Adventure camp on the Nam Khan River, then take a boat across to start your trek. The hike itself covers 13 km through canyons and remote villages on a medium to difficult trail, which typically takes around 6 hours with breaks (though it can stretch to 7-8 hours if conditions are wet). By evening you'll reach a Khmu village homestay where you're staying the night. Your guide prepares an authentic meal there, so you'll get a real sense of local village life and food.

- Day 2
Luang Prabang
After breakfast, you trek 1.5 to 2 hours uphill through rice fields and forest to reach Ban Tinpha, a Hmong village with nice panoramic views of the mountains. From there you head downhill to Ban Houay Yen village and board a local boat for a relaxing ride down the Nam Khan to Tad Sae waterfalls. Lunch happens either in the village or at the waterfall area, then you can swim or just rest in the shade. On the return journey you take the boat back to Tiger Trail Adventure Camp and get a final drive into Luang Prabang.
