Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Ho Chi Minh City

    Your driver meets you at Tan Son Nhat Airport holding a nameplate. The 30-minute drive to your hotel gives you time to settle in and shake off the travel fatigue. After that, the rest of your day is open to relax and adjust to the local time.

  2. Day 2

    Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho

    You'll drive from Ho Chi Minh City toward Can Tho in the Mekong Delta. Along the route, you board a boat to navigate the canal system, passing tropical fruit orchards and fish farms. Once your boat tour wraps up, you continue by car to Can Tho for your overnight stay.

  3. Day 3

    Can Tho to Chau Doc

    An early start gets you to Cai Rang floating market by motorboat and sampan, where you navigate canals under water coconut trees. You'll stop at a fruit orchard to taste seasonal fruits and chat with locals. Later, you transfer to Tra Su Cajuput Forest, a natural sanctuary covering nearly 900 hectares, and take a boat through the forest. Lunch happens at a local restaurant before heading to Chau Doc.

    Chau Doc to Da Nang

    You return to Can Tho to catch a flight to Da Nang. Your driver picks you up upon arrival and takes you to your hotel. The afternoon and evening are free for you to explore the area or just rest.

  5. Day 5

    Ba Na Hills

    An early departure gets you to Ba Na Hill Station on Da Nang's outskirts. You'll ride a cable car up to the hills and check out several spots: the old French cellar, Le Jardin D'amour flower garden, Linh Ung Pagoda, a wax museum, and the Golden Bridge. Free time lets you wander the resort park. Buffet lunch is provided before you head back down to Da Nang.

    Da Nang to My Son to Hoi An

    After breakfast, you head out early for the 1-hour drive to My Son, a UNESCO World Heritage Site about 40km southwest of Hoi An. You'll explore ancient Cham ruins from the 7th to 13th centuries situated in a mountain and jungle valley. This was the longest continuously inhabited site in Indochina. Lunch comes at a local restaurant before you return to Hoi An.

  7. Day 7

    Hoi An

    Following breakfast, a mini-van takes you to a bike station in the countryside. You'll cycle through rural roads to a farming village where you help with daily tasks like hoeing and watering, and ride water buffalo. Then you board a boat heading to where the river meets Cua Dai Sea to learn traditional fishing methods with round and cast nets. You'll paddle bamboo basket boats through coconut-palm waterways and pick up local history along the way. Lunch and drinks are on the boat. You're back by late afternoon with time to relax on Cua Dai Beach or explore.

    Your day is free until it's time to transfer to Hue. On the way, you'll stop at Hai Van Pass and Lang Co Beach to relax. Once you reach Hue, the rest of your evening is at your own pace.

  9. Day 9

    Quang Binh

    You transfer to Quang Binh province, known locally as the Kingdom of caves. On the drive, you stop at Tam Giang Lagoon, the largest freshwater lagoon system in the Hue region. You board a fishing vessel with local fishermen to learn net techniques and try catching fish yourself. A boat tour shows you the daily life of fishing villages and gives you chances for photos. Lunch happens at Tam Giang before you head to Dong Hoi in Quang Binh to check in and relax.

    Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park to Hanoi

    You spend the full day at Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site called the Kingdom of Caves. First comes Paradise Cave, discovered in 2005 and Asia's longest dry cave at 31km long. An electrical car takes you 2km to the entrance, then you walk about 1km on wooden floors viewing stalactites and rock formations. After lunch at a local restaurant, you head to Phong Nha Cave, also called the 'First Cave Wonder.' A 5km boat ride up the Son River reaches this wet cave with its underground river, unique stalactites, and limestone scenery. From there, you head to Dong Hoi Airport for your evening flight to Hanoi. Your driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel.

    Your pickup from the Hanoi Old Quarter happens between 8:00 and 8:30 AM. You reach Tuan Chau Harbor by noon and board the 5-star Amanda Luxury Cruise. After the embarkation briefing and cabin check-in, lunch is served while you sail into Ha Long Bay. You'll explore Tra Bau floating village by kayak if weather allows, or swim at Ba Trai Dao Island. Evening brings a sunset party, happy hour, a Vietnamese cooking class where you'll learn to prepare traditional dishes, and a deluxe dinner with views of Lan Ha Bay.     Lan Ha Bay Cruise to Hanoi

    Start the morning between 6:00 and 7:00 AM with a Tai Chi class on the sundeck. Light breakfast follows with fresh air as the cruise passes karst towers. At 8:00 AM, you explore Dark and Bright Cave, known for its natural beauty and scenic seascapes of Lan Ha Bay. You'll take photos and enjoy bamboo boats or kayaking to discover limestone mountains. By 9:00 AM you're back onboard for check-out. Brunch is around 10:00 AM while you cruise through emerald waters toward Tuan Chau Harbor, arriving between 11:00 and 11:30 AM. A bus can take you back to Hanoi if you've booked that in advance.

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 20 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
