Itinerary
- Day 1
Iquitos to Omagua Eco-Lodge
You'll head to Puerto Lau and board a river boat that takes you into the Amazon toward Omagua Eco-Lodge. During the journey, there's a stop at the confluence where the Amazon and Nanay Rivers meet, and you'll notice how the waters flow alongside each other without fully blending together. After settling in at the lodge, you'll spend time at the Chullachaqui Eco-Museum learning about medicinal plants and traditional healing drinks from the region. By evening, you can relax on the river and watch the sun set over the water.

Yanayacu River to San Pedro de Falcon
Early morning means getting into a canoe or packraft on the Yanayacu River, called 'the mirror of the jungle' because of how still the water sits. About 1.5 hours of paddling gets you to Fundo Cesar where breakfast is ready by the riverbank. From there you'll continue downriver to see the massive Lupuna tree, then pull up at San Pedro de Falcon around 1pm to set up camp and have lunch. The afternoon is for fishing, and you can pitch in with meal preparation if you'd like.

Yaguas Tribe - Monkey Island - Timicuro Grande
Starting at 8am from San Pedro de Falcon, you'll paddle down to visit the Yaguas Tribe community and learn their customs, join in ritual dances, and see their hunting methods. After roughly 1.5 hours you'll reach San Juan de Huashalado to check out the eco-zoo and try regional medicinal liquors. Then it's onto the main Amazon River heading upstream toward Timicuro Grande, with a stop at Monkey Island, a rescue center where you can see 10 different primate species up close. From there you'll head back to Omagua Eco-Lodge for the night.

Timicuro Grande to Iquitos
Your transfer from Timicuro Grande to Iquitos Airport happens at 8am, getting you to your connecting flight to Lima and wherever comes next.
