  1. Day 1

    Zürich/Basel to Breisach

    You'll arrive in Zurich or Basel by 3 pm and board the ship by 5 pm. Get settled into your stateroom, have dinner onboard, and wander around the ship while it sails to Breisach overnight.

    Black Forest

    You have two main options today. Either take a full-day guided tour through the Black Forest to see the Vogtsbauernhof open-air museum, a water mill, and watch a butter-making demonstration, or stick around to explore Freiburg's medieval city center with its vineyards nearby. There's also an optional morning excursion to Colmar if you want to start early.

You'll also walk through La Petite France district. After that, pick from optional excursions to the Maginot Line or Alsace wine country, or just have free time to check out museums and the city center on your own.

    Start your morning with one of three activities: a guided vineyard hike, a tour of the Mechanical Music Museum with Rudesheimer coffee tasting, or a cable car ride up to the Niederwald Monument. Later, relax on the Sky Deck as the ship sails through the Rhine Gorge. You'll have free time in Boppard to walk the Rheinallee Promenade before evening entertainment as you sail toward Frankfurt.

    We would like to thank our Statesman Attendee that took care of all our needs in our room 107. He was friendly and did an amazing job, Marisio our waiter served us with the highest respect and friendliness. Over all Avalon have very good staff and always a smile- nothing too much trouble. The ship was so clean, food was spectacular. We had a surprise group of singers Gwen and Charles who brought great entertainment. The other entertainer was amazing. Loved the top deck BBQ. We met lots of new friends aboard. Thank you Avalon for a trip well executed.

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
