Panama City
You'll arrive in Panama City, a busy trading hub founded back in 1519. The city mixes together different cultures, natural areas, and a blend of old colonial architecture alongside modern buildings. It's a good introduction to what you'll see throughout the trip.
Landmarks/POIs Panama City - Day 2
Casco Antiguo - Panama Canal
After breakfast, a guide takes you through Casco Antiguo, the historic colonial district that's a UNESCO World Heritage Site from 1673. You'll see restored colonial buildings, churches, and monuments throughout the area. From there, you head to the Miraflores Locks at the Panama Canal for a guided tour where you can watch ships pass through up close and learn about the canal's history.

Landmarks/POIs Casco Antiguo Miraflores Locks Panama Canal - Day 3
Gamboa Rainforest
You board a vessel for a partial transit of the Panama Canal. Starting at Gailard Cut where the Chagres River meets the canal, the ship enters Pedro Miguel Locks and gets lowered roughly 30 feet into Miraflores Lake. Then it continues through Miraflores Locks where you descend almost 60 feet to reach the Pacific Ocean. After disembarking, you head to Gamboa Rainforest Resort located within Soberania National Park.

Gamboa Rainforest Resort
This day is yours to spend however you'd like at the resort. You can relax by the pool or visit the spa if that appeals to you. For something more active, there's an aerial tram tour through the canopy, fishing trips, birding excursions, or a visit to the sloth sanctuary to check out.

Landmarks/POIs Soberania National Park - Day 5
Emberá Indian Village
You'll travel deep into the Chagres jungle by river cruise in traditional dugout canoes. At an Embera Indian village, you experience their ancient cultural dances and music, learn about their rituals and knowledge of medicinal plants. After trekking through untouched jungle past waterfalls and spotting birds and wildlife, you finish with a typical lunch prepared in the village.

Pacific Beach Resort
You head to the Pacific side of Panama and check into a deluxe all-inclusive resort. The property sits between tropical forests and white-sand beaches, giving you a nice setting to start your beach portion of the trip.

Pacific Beach Resort
This is your first of two free days at the all-inclusive hotel. You can spend time by the pool or at the spa if you want to take it easy. If you're looking for activities, kayaking the Pacific, rafting, surfing, or diving are all available options.
