Buenos Aires welcomes you with over 10 million people spread across 40 neighborhoods. The city reflects centuries of immigration, particularly from Italy, Spain, and France starting in the 16th century. You'll notice the French influence in Recoleta's architecture, Italian heritage in the colorful La Boca district, and authentic Argentine character throughout San Telmo. Each barrio tells a different story about how the city developed.

- Day 2
Buenos Aires City Tour
Your guide picks you up from the hotel and you head along Avenida 9 de Julio to see Teatro Colón and the Obelisk. Then you visit Plaza de Mayo with the Cathedral, Presidential Palace, and Cabildo. From there, the route continues through San Telmo and past Lezama Park to reach La Boca, where you'll see the Boca Juniors stadium and walk through the colorful Caminito area. Next comes modern Puerto Madero, then Retiro and upscale Palermo neighborhoods before finishing in La Recoleta. You return to downtown by late afternoon.

Iguazú Waterfalls
Travel to Iguazú Waterfalls, a UNESCO World Heritage site that straddles Argentina and Brazil. The site features 275 waterfalls spread across 2.7 kilometers. Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat) is the most impressive, measuring 150 meters wide and 700 meters long. The name comes from Guaraní words meaning 'water' and 'large'. Argentine Iguazú National Park has various trails where you can get close to the falls, while the Brazilian side offers panoramic views.

Brazilian Side
You explore the Brazilian side of Iguazú National Park, which covers 185,000 hectares. After passing through the entry portal where park capacity is managed, you board a bus that drives through the park to pedestrian bridges. A 1,200-meter walkway crosses the Iguazú River gorge with panoramic views of the Argentine waterfalls. You see Rivadavia Falls and the Tres Mosqueteros formation. Near the end, a lower viewpoint of Garganta del Diablo sits about 200 meters away, often highlighted by permanent rainbows. An elevator near Salto Floriano returns you to the bus parking area, or you can walk the original path back.

Argentine Side
Explore part of Iguazú National Park, a 67,000-hectare area rich with subtropical jungle biodiversity including giant trees, ferns, colorful butterflies, birds, and various mammals. The park earned UNESCO World Heritage status in 1984 for its ecological significance. A train departs from Cataratas Station heading to Garganta del Diablo station, followed by a 1.2-kilometer hiking trail leading to views of this natural wonder.

Salta
You arrive in Salta, called 'La Linda', a northwestern city known for colonial architecture at the Andes foothills. A cable car ride up San Bernardo hill gives you views of the city and surrounding landscape. Salta serves as your gateway to salt flats, Rainbow Mountain near Purmamarca, Cafayate wine region, and Cachi. From San Antonio de los Cobres, you can ride the legendary Train to the Clouds to La Polvorilla viaduct at 4,200 meters above sea level.

- Day 7
Lerma Valley and Cafayate Wine Region
This tour starts at 7:00 AM from your hotel. You traverse the Lerma Valley, tobacco fields, and villages with German colonial architecture where the old Belgrano Railway ended. The Las Conchas River Gorge features unusual stone formations shaped by wind and water. Rock formations have names like the Dunes, the Toad, the Bishop, Devil's Throat, the Castles, and the Amphitheater. Later you continue to Cafayate, the youngest city in the Calchaqu Valley, famous for wines particularly Torrontés which you'll taste at a winery. The return follows the same route but with different lighting that transforms the canyon. You return around 19:00.

Salta Free Day
Today is yours to spend however you like. Relax at your hotel or wander through Salta. San Bernardo hill sits in the city center and you can reach it on foot or by cable car. At the top, you get views across the entire city and enjoy the landscaped garden with a terrace. If you're more athletic, rent a bike and ride down into the valley for a special experience.

Quebrada del Toro to Purmamarca
Your hotel pickup happens in central Salta. You travel toward Quebrada del Toro to visit Tastil village with its cave paintings and stone structures. The Tastil ruins are an Inca archaeological site and UNESCO World Heritage location as part of the Inca Trail. Next stop is San Antonio de los Cobres, known for its landscapes and local culture. After lunch (on your own), you cross Route 40 to reach Salinas Grandes at the Salta-Jujuy border, one of the world's largest salt flats. Time here lets you photograph this natural wonder. You descend through Cuesta de Lipán where condors are frequently seen. Visit Purmamarca village and the Mountain of Seven Colors, recognized as a historic cultural monument. Return to Salta hotels around 20:00.

Paleta del Pintor and Humahuaca Valley
The tour starts at 07:00 AM with hotel pickup from Salta. First you see Purmamarca village with the Mountain of Seven Colors, church, and artisan market. You pass through Posta de Hornillos and continue to Tilcara to visit Pucará. At Huacalera you cross the Tropic of Capricorn with views of La Pollera de la Colla hill. The Church of Uquia has paintings of the Arcabuceros Angels, significant works from the Cusqueño School. Then you arrive in Humahuaca with its cathedral and independence monument El Indio. After lunch, you explore the 'Paleta del Pintor' area surrounding Maimara. If time allows, return via the Corniche Path through subtropical vegetation, passing Abra de Santa Laura and observing the dikes of La Ciénega, Las Maderas, and Campo Alegre. Return to hotels around 20:00.

El Calafate
Welcome to the Land of Glaciers. El Calafate sits on the shores of blue Lago Argentino in Patagonia. The city's name comes from a native Calafate shrub used for jam and liqueur. Perito Moreno Glacier is the main attraction, part of Los Glaciares National Park and a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can also see Upsala, Spegazzini, and Onelli glaciers, though they're only accessible by boat across Lago Argentino.

Perito Moreno Glacier Excursion
A small hiking excursion combines with a boat ride on Lago Rico where you see icebergs calving from Perito Moreno Glacier's ice walls. The boat positions itself at appropriate distance from the glacier wall so you can observe ice chunks breaking away across its entire width. This roughly 1-hour excursion provides a different perspective of the glacier walls and constant landslides over Lago Rico's waters.
