- Day 1
Shanghai
You'll arrive in Shanghai and get transferred to your hotel. After you settle in, the rest of the day is yours to do whatever you like and get a feel for the city at your own speed.

- Day 2
Shanghai
Your day starts at Yuyuan Garden to see the traditional architecture and landscaping. From there, you'll head to Shanghai Old Street and Nanjing Road for some shopping time. After lunch at a local restaurant, take a walk along the Bund before checking out the Jade Buddha Temple and seeing the Oriental Pearl TV Tower from the riverside. You'll return to your hotel by evening.

Zhujiajiao
In the morning, you'll drive to Zhujiajiao Water Town and walk through the traditional architecture. There's a short boating trip along the waterways to experience the canals up close. After lunch at a local spot, you'll return to Shanghai for free shopping time in the afternoon.

- Day 4
Shanghai to Hanoi
You have a free morning to do as you like. Then you'll head to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. An optional maglev train ride to Pudong Airport is available if you want it. You'll arrive in Hanoi later in the evening and transfer to your hotel.

- Day 5
Hanoi
This guided city tour takes you through Hanoi's important historical sites. You'll start at Tran Quoc Pagoda on Golden Fish Island, then move on to Ho Chi Minh's complex with his mausoleum and One Pillar Pagoda. Next you'll visit the Vietnam Ethnology Museum (or Women's Museum if it's closed), the Temple of Literature, and Hoa Lo Prison Museum. Lunch includes a spread of 8 Vietnamese dishes.

- Day 6
Hanoi to Halong Bay
You'll travel through the scenic Red River Delta rice paddies on your way to Halong Bay. Once you board your cruise, you can explore the limestone rocks and karst formations. After a seafood lunch, visit a famous limestone cave for kayaking or swimming near floating villages. Back on the boat, you'll have early dinner and evening time to relax or join optional activities.

Start early to catch the sunrise and have breakfast on deck. There's a Tai Chi class on the sun deck if you're interested, followed by exploring a limestone cave with stalagmites and stalactites. After you check out, enjoy brunch while the cruise heads back to harbor. You'll transfer to Hanoi for a rest, then head to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

- Day 8
Cu Chi Tunnels
It's about a 1.5 hour bus ride to Cu Chi Tunnels, located about 70 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. You'll watch an introductory video, then walk through the tunnel systems where you can see living areas, kitchens, bedrooms, and other facilities. There's a chance to sample guerrilla war food like cassava and special tea. Optional shooting practice is available during the break. You'll return to Ho Chi Minh City by afternoon.

Mekong Delta
You'll travel to My Tho on the Mekong River and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda. Then you'll board a sampan to cruise around the Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands. Stop at Unicorn Island to walk the country lanes, sample tropical fruits, and see the fruit plantation. A hand-rowed sampan takes you through Thoi Son canal where you can visit a family business and honey-bee farm, plus try honey tea and coconut candy. After lunch, either cycle around Tan Thach village to meet locals or relax in a hammock before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City.

- Day 11
Bangkok
This guided temple tour covers Bangkok's most important religious sites. You'll see Wat Trimit, which houses a 3-meter-high solid gold Buddha that weighs 5.5 tons. Then you'll visit Wat Pho, one of Bangkok's oldest temples, where there's a 49-meter-long gold-plated Reclining Buddha. You'll also drive past the Royal Field, Democracy Monument, and other landmarks. The tour ends at Wat Benchamabophit, known for its marble construction from King Rama V's reign.

Today is yours to explore Bangkok however you'd like. If you want something organized, there's an optional floating market tour at Damnoen Saduak. That tour includes visiting a sugar palm factory, taking a long tail boat to see local vendors selling produce and flowers, and trying local food and souvenirs.

- Day 14
Phuket - Phang Nga Bay
This is a free day, or you can join an optional group tour to Phang Nga Bay. The tour includes a luxury boat cruise through the karst islets, canoe trips through sea caves and mangroves at Panak Island, and kayaking at Hong Island through hidden caves and lagoons. You'll have a buffet lunch and spend the afternoon at Khao Phing Kan (James Bond Island) for swimming and sunbathing before returning to Phuket.
