Itinerary
- Day 1
Berlin to Hannover
You'll start by leaving Berlin and heading through Lower Saxony toward Wolfsburg, where Autostadt gives you a look at the region's automotive history and heritage. From there, continue on to Celle, a charming town known for its half-timbered architecture that dates back centuries. Later you'll arrive in Hannover for the night, and there's time to walk around this vibrant capital city on your own and get a feel for the place.

Hannover to Eisenach
After breakfast, you'll head to Goslar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the medieval old town is the main draw. There's a museum visit included that covers the town's silver mining past, which shaped much of its history. The route takes you through Göttingen and Bad Sooden-Allendorf, then into Eisenach where you can check out historical spots like Bach's birthplace and Luther's house if you have time.

Eisenach to Leipzig
Start the morning at Wartburg Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Martin Luther translated the New Testament. You'll then see Eisenach's Automobile Museum before having free time for lunch and exploring on your own. Next, head to Gotha to see the grand Baroque Palace, then continue to Erfurt to check out the Cathedral and the historic Merchants' Bridge. By late afternoon you'll reach Leipzig to wrap up the day.

Leipzig to Berlin
Begin at Leipzig's Monument to the Battle of the Nations, a 91-meter-tall structure with great views from the top. Travel to Dresden, often called the 'Florence on the Elbe' for its Baroque and Renaissance buildings like the Zwinger Palace, Cathedral, and Semper Opera House. After that, move to Meissen to see the historic center and learn about its famous porcelain production. Stop at Moritzburg Castle before heading back to Berlin, arriving in the evening.
