Itinerary
- Day 1
Rome
You'll arrive in Rome and get picked up by your driver for a private transfer to the hotel. Your Hop-On Hop-Off panoramic bus ticket gets you access to 12 languages of audio commentary, so you can move around at your own pace and see the landmarks that interest you. The rest of the day is open for you to settle in and start getting a feel for the city.

- Day 2
Rome to Assisi to Siena to Florence
Head out early toward Assisi to walk through the medieval town and visit the Basilica of St. Francis. From there, you'll continue to Siena, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with medieval brick buildings and Piazza del Campo as its heart. After exploring Siena, travel on to Florence and check into your hotel by evening.

- Day 3
Florence
Spend time in Florence looking at Renaissance art and architecture. You'll see the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with its distinctive dome, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistery with bronze doors, and Piazza della Signoria. The Basilica of Santa Croce is also on the list. Later in the afternoon, you have free time to wander on your own or take an optional trip to Pisa if that interests you.

Florence to Bologna to Venice
Get to Bologna and walk through its arcades and historic piazzas. Start around Piazza Malpighi and make your way to Piazza Maggiore to see the Basilica of San Petronio and Palazzo del Podestà. The food scene there is worth spending time on, so grab lunch or snacks from local spots. Later you'll head to Venice and check in for the night.

- Day 5
Venice
Your transfer takes you to St. Mark's Square, where a guided walking tour shows you the main sights. You'll go through the Doge's Palace, cross by the Bridge of Sighs, and get to know how the city is laid out. At some point grab a spritz or prosecco and try cicchetti, which are those small tapas-style bites Venetians eat. The afternoon is yours to explore the canals, smaller bridges, and narrow streets at your own speed.

- Day 7
Rome
You get skip-the-line access for a guided tour of the Vatican Museums, which holds one of the world's major art collections. Walk through the Gallery of Tapestries and Maps, see Raphael's Rooms, and look up at the Sistine Chapel ceiling by Michelangelo. The tour ends at St. Peter's Square with external views of the basilica. You'll have the rest of the day free to explore Rome further.
