- Day 1
Girona to Sant Miguel
Your gravel bike tour kicks off in Girona with bike setup and a gear check. From there, you'll cycle 43.5 km northward into the volcanic landscape of La Garrocha, climbing gradually as you head into the Catalan region. The route takes you through rolling terrain, and you'll stop for lunch at a village along the way. By evening, you'll arrive at Rectoria Sant Miguel de Pineda to settle in for the night.

Landmarks La Garrocha - Day 2
Sant Miguel to Llanars
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll head out on a 58.2 km ride heading north toward Llanars in the Spanish foothills of the Pyrenees. The terrain builds gradually as you approach the mountains. Stop for lunch at a place of your choosing during the ride, then check the Ride Book for dinner suggestions before checking into Hotel Grevol Spa for the evening.

Landmarks Pyrenees - Day 3
Llanars to Céret
Today crosses the Spanish-French border deep into the Pyrenees mountains on a 58.2 km route. You'll climb steadily through the morning and into the afternoon, then the road descends sharply toward the French village of Céret. After the long descent, you'll rest for the night at Les Arbousiers, a guesthouse set among lush gardens.

Landmarks Pyrenees - Day 4
Céret to L'Escala
You'll cycle 92.6 km back into Catalonia and Spain today, descending toward the Mediterranean coast and L'Escala. This route brings you to the Ruins of Empúries, where you can see remains of ancient Greek and Roman cities. Spend the afternoon walking along the coastal path, then settle in at Hostal Spa Empuries on the Costa Brava, just 300 meters from the Roman Ruins.

Landmarks Ruins of Empúries Costa Brava - Day 5
L'Escala to Sant Feliu de Guíxols
Cycle 64.1 km southbound through Catalan countryside, riding through charming villages like Palamós and Platja d'Aro on your way to Sant Feliu de Guíxols. The route passes along seaside areas, and you'll have lunch at one of the coastal spots. Check into Hotel Eden Roc for the night, ending your day in this coastal town.

Sant Feliu de Guíxols to Girona
The final day is a 43.9 km ride back to Girona through rolling green Catalan countryside. The terrain is undulating but manageable, giving you a nice way to finish the tour. You can depart later in the day if you'd like to have breakfast in town, or add another night to spend more time exploring Girona.
