He wanted me to leave the ceremony 10 mins early to beat the traffic back. I wasn’t happy with this as it meant I missed the ending. This tour cost a lot as a solo traveller and coming from Australia it was a long way and even if we did get caught in the traffic going back it wouldn’t have mattered as we weren’t going anywhere else. The guide I had for the golden temple tour was great,a lovely young man. I was disappointed I didn’t get to see inside the temple as there was a long queue. If I knew the temple was open all hours I would’ve requested going at a time when it wasn’t so busy, even if it was early in the morning or late in the evening. As an older female travelling solo I was a little nervous but Sanjeev Paul took me to the train station in Delhi and got me settled in my seat. The guide and driver in Amritsar met me and showed me the sights - the Wagah Border ceremony was fun and the Golden Temple was impressive. I highly recommend this tour. I was very well looked after. It was one of the highlights of my trip to India.Show more
