Arrival in Amman
Your flight arrives at Queen Alia International Airport where staff will meet you and drive to your hotel in Amman. The rest of the day is yours to settle in and explore the city at your own pace.

Amman
After breakfast, you'll head out to see the ancient desert castles from the Umayyad era, including Qasr al-Kharrana, Qal'at al-Azraq, and Qseirr Amra before returning to Amman for lunch. Spend your afternoon walking through downtown Amman to check out the Amphitheatre, Jordan Folklore Museum, Citadel, and busy markets. You can try traditional Knafeh and pick up some Arabic phrases along the way.

Ajloun - Rasoun
Head north to Jerash, one of the best-kept Greco-Roman cities outside Europe, where you'll see the Forum, Roman colonnaded streets, Nymphaeum and Temple of Artemis. From there, continue to Aljoun Castle, then travel to Rasoun village for a homestay. You'll trek through hills to find Bronze Age Dolmens and share a home-cooked dinner with your Jordanian hosts.

Madaba - Mount Nebo - Dead Sea
Have breakfast with your hosts before heading south to Madaba to see Byzantine mosaics and the famous Madaba Map of the Holy Land. Continue to Mount Nebo where you can look out across the Promised Land as the prophet Moses did, then travel to your Dead Sea resort. Once there, you can float in the incredibly salty waters and relax by the pool.

Dana - Petra
Travel down the Dead Sea coastline passing deep canyons, gorges and salt flats, then head up into the mountains. You'll stop at the Dana Biosphere Reserve for a walk through Jordan's largest nature reserve with valley views. After passing Shobak crusader castle, you'll arrive at Petra in the evening with an optional candlelit tour of the Treasury.

Petra and Wadi Rum
Most of your day goes to exploring the ancient Nabatean site of Petra. Your guided tour takes 2 to 3 hours through the narrow Siq leading to the iconic Khazneh Treasury, then you have free time to explore on your own. Climb to see the Roman amphitheater, colonnaded streets, the towering Monastery, High Place of Sacrifice, and Lion Fountain. Later, travel to Wadi Rum desert where Bedouin hosts welcome you to a comfortable camp beneath towering rocks for dinner and the night.

- Day 7
Wadi Rum to Amman
Start with breakfast at camp, then head out on a jeep safari through Wadi Rum's sands beneath towering rock formations. You'll climb sand dunes, explore unique rock bridge formations, and take part in Bedouin traditions by walking with a local shepherd to a Bedouin tent where you'll prepare and share lunch. After that, head back by jeep to camp and drive north to Amman for the night.

- Day 9
Cairo
Start your Egyptian tour at the Egyptian Museum with an Egyptologist guide, exploring the Tutankhamun exhibit and vast ancient artifacts. Travel to Giza on Cairo's outskirts to see the iconic Sphinx and three great pyramids including Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure. You have the option to climb inside the pyramids if you want (limited tickets). In the evening, transfer to the station for the approximately 9-hour overnight sleeper train to Aswan.

Aswan
Arrive in Aswan and transfer to your hotel overlooking the Nile with cascading rapids, lush green islands, and sailing feluccas. Walk through busy markets to experience Aswan's blend of African and Middle Eastern cultures. Visit a local Nubian village to see colorful houses and have a traditional lunch. In the afternoon, take a scenic boat ride to the beautiful Temple of Philae on an island dedicated to Isis. Your evening is free to explore the spice markets and stroll along the Corniche. An optional camel ride through desert sands to St. Simeon's monastery is available.

- Day 11
Aswan Nile Felucca Departure
This morning you can optionally head out early to Abu Simbel, a UNESCO World Heritage site with temples built by Ramses II, or stay and explore Aswan's markets, walk the Corniche, or visit the Nubian Museum. At lunchtime, board a traditional Nile felucca for an afternoon sail down the Nile, watching local rural Egyptian life on the riverbanks. Your Nubian crew will sail, entertain and prepare meals. Sleep on the boat deck tonight with provided mattresses, blankets, and mosquito nets. A facilities boat joins with toilets, showers, and kitchen.

- Day 12
Edfu - Luxor
After breakfast on board, say goodbye to your felucca crew and visit the nearby Temple of Edfu before continuing north to Luxor. This town sits on and around the ancient site of Thebes, home to the largest concentration of ancient ruins in the Nile Valley. You can explore the mortuary temples and rock-hewn tombs of the City of the Dead to the west, while the Temples of Luxor and Karnak lie to the east. This evening, take a walking tour of the smaller Luxor Temple in town center, beautifully lit up at night.

Luxor West Bank
Cross the Nile early this morning to explore Luxor's West Bank where the Valley of the Kings reveals ancient Pharaonic secrets. You'll tour several tombs, temples of Queen Hatshepsut and Medinat Habu, and see the massive Colossi of Memnon. An optional hot air balloon flight over the west bank is available with early sunrise departure. Your afternoon is free to relax at your 5-star hotel on the Nile banks, explore Luxor, shop at markets, visit the mummification museum, or take a felucca to Banana Island. Other sightseeing options are also available.

Luxor to Cairo
Sleep in this morning after several early starts. After lunch, tour the enormous Karnak temple complex, once the religious center of Thebes and Upper Egypt. The site features an immense pylon entrance, a vast courtyard, and the remarkable Hypostyle Hall with 134 towering columns carved with scenes of gods and pharaohs. In the evening, transfer to the station for the approximately 9-hour overnight sleeper train back to Cairo.

Cairo
Arrive back in Cairo this morning and transfer to your hotel. Most of your day is free to explore Cairo independently or choose from guided tour options including Coptic Cairo and the Citadel, or half-day tours to pyramid sites like Saqqara and Dashour. In the late afternoon, take a guided walk through back streets and bazaars in central Cairo, passing through the Bab al-Futuh gateway and exploring streets dedicated to metalwork, spices, pottery, fabric and jewelry. You'll enter the Khan-el-Khalili bazaar and enjoy tea, shisha pipe and early dinner before returning to your hotel.
