- Day 1
Arrival
You'll arrive and get settled into your hotel. There's no guided tour today, so you can rest up after travel and get oriented to the city at your own pace.

Panama City
This morning you'll take a guided tour through Panama City. Founded in 1519, the city has this interesting mix of modern skyscrapers, fancy homes, and green hills all in one place. Your guide will help you understand how it all fits together.

Landmarks/POIs Panama City - Day 3
Pineapple Plantation
Early in the day you'll head to Altos de Campana National Park for a hike. The trails take you through the local landscape and vegetation. Then this afternoon you'll visit a working pineapple plantation to see how they grow and harvest the fruit here.

San Lorenzo - Panama Viejo
After breakfast, you'll drive north to Colón province. From there you'll check out the San Lorenzo ruins, which are pretty historic. Later you'll return to Panama City to walk through Panama Viejo, a 16th century ruin site that shows what the original city looked like.

Panama Canal - Miraflores Locks
You'll drive to Soberanía National Park for a short hike through the forest. Then you'll board a boat on Lake Gatun to watch cargo ships moving through the Panama Canal. Afterward you'll see the Miraflores locks up close, which are really the heart of how the canal operates.

Emberá Village - Panama Viejo
You'll travel to Rio Chagres and get into small boats to reach an Emberá indigenous village. This gives you a real look at their culture and traditions that have existed for thousands of years. Back in Panama City by afternoon, you'll visit those Panama Viejo ruins one more time.

Panama Canal Crossing
Today you'll get on a boat for a full or partial crossing of the Panama Canal. You'll see those massive locks in action and watch huge cargo ships go through. It's one of those engineering feats that's hard to believe when you see it happening in front of you.
