Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Kathmandu

    You'll arrive at Kathmandu Airport where your local team meets you and takes you to your hotel in Bhaktapur. Depending on when you land, there's time to wander around this former royal city before dinner with your group and guides at around 6:30 p.m.

  2. Day 2

    Bhaktapur

    Your guide takes you through Bhaktapur, starting with Durbar Square and the Royal Palace's golden gate. You'll see the 30-meter Nyatopola Temple and the intricate Peacock Window with its detailed wood carvings. After checking out the pottery square where pots dry in rows, the afternoon is free to walk around the pedestrian streets, grab tea, or browse local crafts and arts shops.

  3. Day 3

    Bhaktapur to Macha Khola

    You'll drive from Bhaktapur through Arkhet Bazaar toward Macha Khola on a narrow, mostly unpaved road. The route passes typical Nepalese villages and offers your first views of mountains. If road conditions require it, you might switch to jeeps at Arkhet Bazaar for the rest of the drive.

  4. Day 4

    Macha Khola to Jagat

    Your lodge trekking begins with a hike to Jagat village. You'll follow the river on a high path above the valley, cross the Thado Khola, and pass through Khorlabensi and Tatopani, known for thermal springs. A suspension bridge takes you into forested areas, then through Doban before reaching Jagat.

  5. Day 5

    Jagat to Ekle Bhatti

    You'll trek up a steep gorge past grassy slopes and tall pines along the Budi Gandaki River. The route goes through Deng village where the Deng Khola meets bamboo forest, then continues to Philim, a Gurung village with a monastery that offers views of Srirangi Himal on clear days. After following the river, you reach Ekle Bhatti, a small settlement of mountain huts.

  6. Day 6

    Ekle Bhatti to Bihi Phedi

    From Deng village you'll descend to the riverbed, cross to the left bank, and climb steeply past stone gates and mani stones. You'll pass a waterfall and reach Bihi Phedi, positioned at higher elevation with impressive mountain views around you.

  7. Day 7

    Bihi Phedi to Namrung

    Starting at the bottom of Bihi village, you cross the Bihjam Khola and make a steep, winding climb to a plain along the mountainside. The trek goes through the small Tibetan village of Ghap, crosses the river several times during the afternoon, and passes through dense woods before reaching Namrung village at higher elevation.

  8. Day 8

    Namrung to Samagaun

    You'll follow a narrow forest path along a sloping ridge toward the Pungen glacier. After passing the glacier and descending to the rocky riverbed, you'll encounter a chorten before making a short descent to Samagaun village at significant elevation.

  9. Day 9

    Lake Birendra Excursion

    After breakfast you visit the local monastery then hike to Lake Birendra at 3,600m/11,811ft for views of Manaslu at 8,163m/26,781ft. The glacier-fed lake sits beautifully in the mountain landscape. You'll return to Samagaun for the night.

  10. Day 10

    Samagaun to Samdo

    You'll take an easy descent to the Budhigandaki glacial river, then hike steeply uphill through juniper and birch forests. After crossing a small bridge over the river, the steep climb continues to Samdo village. Once there, you can acclimatize, explore the village, or check out a nearby panoramic peak.

  11. Day 11

    Samdo to Dharamsala

    From Samdo village you descend through a stone gate and cross the Hyala Khola River. You'll hike along a mountain slope, crossing two more rivers before encountering the Larkya glacier. The route continues around the Sarkha Khola river to reach a lodge in Dharamsala at very high elevation.

  12. Day 12

    Dharamsala to Larkya La Pass to Bimtang

    You start with a short ascent to see Larkya Peak at 6,416m/21,051ft, then enter a vast glacier plain moving upward. Larkya La Pass at 5,135m/16,844ft offers panoramic views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Gyaji Kang, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. After that you descend steeply on snow and rocky ground along a lateral moraine, passing through Tengboche to Bimtang.

  13. Day 13

    Bimtang to Gho

    You walk down moraines and through the Burdin Khola riverbed, crossing the upper Dobhan Khola on a bridge. After climbing a moraine, you trek through rhododendron forests to Hampuk with its dwelling cave. The mountain path offers views of Manaslu's west side, and you cross Surkhi Khola before reaching inhabited areas at Karche. You'll climb through rice paddy terraces, cross Karche La, and arrive at Gho.

  14. Day 14

    Gho to Besisahar

    You hike along Dudh Khola banks to Tilije, a village of about 40 houses. From there you head to the Marsyangdi, crossing it by bridge after a checkpoint at Thonjue. At Dharapani, where the trail meets the Annapurna Circuit, you'll have lunch. Later you drive from Dharapani to Besisahar by local jeep and have a celebration with your team.

  15. Day 15

    Besisahar to Kathmandu

    After breakfast you drive back to Kathmandu along the Prithivi Highway, returning to the capital city after your trekking adventure.

  16. Day 16

    Kathmandu

    After breakfast you have free time to relax and explore Kathmandu on your own. In the afternoon you visit the biggest Hindu temple in Kathmandu (watch for monkeys) and see Hindu farewell rituals. Then you head to Boudha Nath Stupa, the world's largest stupa. Later your guides and team meet you at a restaurant to share experiences over a farewell dinner.

    • For any tour departing before February 12th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 12th, 2026, a minimum payment of 50% is required to confirm your booking with Travel Corporation Nepal. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
