Itinerary
- Day 1
Hobart
Your representative meets you at the airport and drives you to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is yours to wander around Hobart and get a feel for the city on your own schedule.
- Day 2
Mt. Wellington - Bonorong Wildlife Park
You'll head out toward Mt. Field National Park, which takes about 1.5 hours from Hobart. Start with a walk to Russell Falls, then continue to Horseshoe Falls and the Tall Trees Track where you'll see towering 80-meter Swamp Gums. After grabbing lunch, you're off to Bonorong Wildlife Park to see Tasmanian Devils and wallabies up close. By late afternoon, head to Mt. Wellington's summit for views across Hobart and the surrounding area.

Bruny Island
Travel to Kettering and take the ferry to Bruny Island. You'll have morning tea and lunch at the Bruny Island Cruises hub in Adventure Bay. Then board a yellow eco-cruise boat to check out the sea cliffs and sea stacks around the island. Watch for seals, dolphins, and whales during the cruise. Waterproof jackets are provided, so you'll stay dry.

MONA
Start with a guided coach tram tour of Hobart where a local guide talks through the city's architecture and landmarks. Later, take a ferry to MONA, which holds Australia's largest private art collection. Spend the rest of your time walking through the galleries at your own pace.

Port Arthur

Hobart to Launceston
Check out of your Hobart hotel and transfer by coach to Launceston. The drive takes you through Tasmania's countryside, and you'll settle into your accommodation in this regional city.

Tamar Valley Cruise
Board the Odyssey from Homepoint for a cruise along the Tamar River. You'll sail through the urban and natural sections of Australia's longest navigable estuary, passing heritage homesteads and the Tamar Island nature reserve. Along the way, spot the Batman Bridge and watch for river wildlife. Throughout the day you'll have local wines and beers, morning tea, light lunch, cheese and fruit.

Bay of Fires
Travel from Launceston through North East Tasmania past rolling farmland and forests. You'll pass through Lilydale and Scottsdale, then Weldborough Pass before reaching the Bay of Fires. The white sand beaches and orange lichen-covered rocks create a distinctive coastal landscape. Stop for a picnic lunch here, or grab something to eat at Binalong Bay.

Cradle Mountain - Launceston
Spend the day exploring Cradle Mountain National Park with walks through the Enchanted Forest and around Dove Lake. Stop at Lease 65 to try cheeses and fresh oysters directly from the farm. Later, check out the fishing boats at St. Helens and grab seasonal fruit and ice cream from Eureka's Fruit Farm. Head through St. Mary's Pass toward the charming coal mining towns of Fingal and Avoca in the Fingal Valley. Return to Launceston by evening.
