Rome
You'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Rome. After settling in, the rest of the day is open for you to wander around at your own pace and get a feel for the city.

Rome to Bari
After breakfast, head to Rome train station for an unescorted journey to Bari. Your hotel is just a short walk from the station. By 15:00, meet your tour leader for a walking tour through narrow alleyways, seeing the Basilica of San Nicola, the 12th-century Norman-Swabian Castle, and Piazza Mercantile before dinner.

Trani - Castel del Monte - Alberobello
Travel by coach to Trani to see the Jewish Quarter and the beautiful 12th-century cathedral. Then continue to Castel del Monte, a mysterious octagonal castle from the 13th century and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The day finishes in Alberobello where you'll find the famous Trulli houses with their distinctive conical roofs made from local limestone.

Matera - Alberobello
A day trip to Matera takes you to UNESCO World Heritage Site Sassi di Matera. Walk through the unique cave dwellings carved into the canyon by the Gravina River over 9,000 years ago with a local guide. Visit the Roman Catholic cathedral overlooking the city, then transfer back to Alberobello for dinner.

Locorotondo - Ostuni - Lecce
Check out two iconic white towns of Puglia starting in Locorotondo, a hilltop town with countryside views and Trulli houses. From there, head to Ostuni on the coast, famous for its ancient olive trees and whitewashed buildings. End the day in Lecce, the heart of the Salento region.

Otranto - Maglie - Lecce
A 3-hour guided tour of Lecce with a local expert covers the Old Town, 12th-century cathedral, Basilica di Santa Croce, and Piazza del Duomo. Travel to Otranto and explore its cultural heritage with free time to see the cathedral's mosaic floor and the remains of 813 martyrs. Later, have a farm-to-table dinner at Masseria L'Uliveto in Maglie before returning to Lecce.
