Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech
Your driver picks you up at Marrakech Airport and takes you to your hotel or riad. After getting settled in, you'll have time to rest and freshen up before starting your cultural tour.
- Day 2
Marrakech to Taroudant
You'll head south toward Taroudant, passing by the Lalla Takerkoust dam and driving through Ouirgane. The route takes you through Ijoukak where you can visit the Tinmel Mosque, located in a lush valley setting. After crossing the Tizi n'Test pass, you'll arrive in Taroudant.

Taroudant to Ida Ougnidif
Taroudant is worth a full day to walk around and see the honey-gold city walls that stretch for 7km around this Berber town. From there, head south to Ida Ougnidif to check out the Kasbah of Tizourgane, a restored fortified village that now operates as a guest house. You'll notice the distinctive blue veils worn by local women in the area.

Ida Ougnidif to Tafraoute
Drive about 65km south to reach Tafraoute, a stone village surrounded by red-granite mountains. Walk through town to see interesting rock formations including Napoleon's Hat and the Peirres Pients, which are painted blue and pink. The Ait Mansour Gorges are nearby and worth exploring, with a 6km stretch running through the valley filled with palm trees.

Tafraoute to Sidi Ifni
Leave Tafraoute heading toward Sidi Ifni, an Art Deco military town built on a clifftop back in 1930. You'll cross through the Anti Atlas Mountains with nice views along the way. If you time it right, you might come across a weekly market in villages along the route where you can see local goods and daily life.

Sidi Ifni to Agadir
Drive north along the Atlantic coast where white and yellow sand beaches meet the ocean with wide dunes. You'll pass through Mirleft, which is a good spot to stop for mint tea and soak in the local atmosphere. Continue through Tiznit and arrive in Agadir, a rebuilt city with an active port and beach resort area under the old Kasbah.

Agadir to Essaouira
Follow the Atlantic coast north past sandy coves that pop up every few kilometers. You'll pass through Aourir and then Taghazout, which is Morocco's top surfing spot. Later, stop by Sidi Kaouki beach and head through the Berber village of Diabat on your way to Essaouira, a coastal town known for its light and artistic character.

Essaouira to Marrakech
Start with a free morning to wander Essaouira at your own pace after breakfast. Check out the 15th-century ramparts, walk through the Medina and Mellah (the former Jewish quarter), or go down to the fishing port to see fresh catches. In the afternoon, drive back to Marrakech and drop off your luggage. You might spot goats in trees along the way. Spend your evening exploring Jemaa El-Fnaa square.

Then check out sites outside the Medina including Majorelle Garden, Museum Saint Laurent, and the Berber Museum. Later, head to Jemaa El-Fnaa square to experience the lively atmosphere with musicians and acrobats.
