Arusha
You'll arrive at Arusha Airport after traveling from Zanzibar, and a representative will meet you for the transfer to your hotel (this involves an extra charge). The rest of your day is yours to relax and walk around the local area. An expert guide will go over the safari itinerary with you and cover the important details you need to know before heading out. Getting in a day early like this helps you adjust and prepare properly.

Arusha to Ndutu
Your safari kicks off early with a pickup from your Arusha hotel, then you'll head out on a scenic 5.5-hour drive covering 260 km to Ndutu through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The landscape shifts from forested hills to open grasslands as you travel. Once you arrive, there's a half-day game drive where you'll see over two million wildebeests along with zebras, antelopes, and gazelles, then grab a picnic lunch. You'll check in at Ndutu Heritage Camp for dinner.

Ndutu
After the migration experience from yesterday, you'll spend a full day on another game drive in the Ndutu region, which sits within both Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Depending on where the migration is at that moment, you'll explore either the NCA or Serengeti. From December to April, the plains serve as calving grounds that bring in numerous predators, so the wildlife encounters can be quite intense. You'll head back to your accommodation for dinner and rest.

Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you'll explore Serengeti National Park on a full-day game drive, searching for the Big 5 (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard) plus Impala and granite rock formations called Kopjes. The grasslands here cover 14,763 square kilometers and create an incredible setting for spotting wildlife. You'll have a picnic lunch during the drive, then end your day with dinner at Shuhudia Adventure Camp.

Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you'll head out on a full-day game drive following the Great Migration trails in the Central Serengeti, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your guide will share insights about this wildlife spectacle as you go. Around 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson's gazelles join the wildebeest migration searching for fresh grazing grounds. The pounding of millions of hooves across the plains creates an unforgettable experience. You'll spend the night at Shuhudia Adventure Camp.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Rim
You'll have breakfast, then take a short morning game drive in the Serengeti before stopping for a picnic lunch. After that, you'll depart toward the Ngorongoro Crater rim on a 75 km journey that takes roughly 2.5 hours, with chances to spot wildlife along the way. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa's most striking geological features and a top wildlife destination. Dinner and overnight await at Ngorongoro Wild Camp.

You'll start early with breakfast, then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. The crater covers 260 square kilometers with depths over 2,000 feet, and you'll spend 5 hours on a game drive where you might see elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. You'll have a scenic picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool, then ascend back to the rim and return to Arusha, arriving around 6 PM.
