Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival to Tarangire National Park
Your driver picks you up at the airport and you'll drive about 2 hours to Tarangire National Park. The park's known for having huge elephant herds, and you'll spend the full day on a game drive looking for big cats, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, and antelopes. There are also hundreds of bird species around, so bring binoculars if you have them. Around midday you'll have a picnic lunch in the park, then head back to your lodge for dinner and settle in for the night.

Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you'll travel across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park for another full day of game drives. The park has thick acacia forests with giant figs and mahogany trees where you might spot giraffes, elephants, impalas, buffaloes, and hippos. One thing this park is known for is its tree-climbing lions, plus flamingos gather on the lakeshore and you can look for ground hornbills and crested eagles. There's plenty of photo opportunities throughout the day. Later on you'll head back for dinner and your overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you'll descend 600 meters into Ngorongoro Crater, which is one of Africa's most densely populated wildlife areas. During your morning game drive you'll have chances to see around 30,000 animals including Tanzania's remaining black rhinos, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, elephants, lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards. You'll have a picnic lunch in the crater itself, then it's time to drive to the airport for your flight out.
