Day 1
Hanoi to Ha Long Bay
Your hotel pickup happens early morning in Hanoi, and from there you'll drive through the Red River Delta toward Ha Long Wharf. The scenery along the way shows you rural Vietnam before you board your cruise. Once on the water, you'll head into Thien Canh Son cave to see the stalactites and stalagmites up close. After exploring the cave, you have free time to do what you want, whether that's relaxing on deck, swimming, or taking out a kayak. Before dinner, there's a cooking class on board where you'll learn to prepare some local dishes. You'll spend the night sleeping on the boat.

Ha Long Bay to Hanoi
Wake up early to catch sunrise while having breakfast right on the bay. After eating, you'll take a bamboo boat to Vung Vieng Fishing Village, which sits quiet and peaceful surrounded by tall rocky mountains. The fishing village gives you a sense of local life on the water. You'll return to your cruise for lunch and some downtime. Then it's time to check out and begin your journey back through Ha Long Bay. The cruise heads back to the wharf where you'll disembark and get transferred back to Hanoi. You should arrive at the Old Quarter by 3:00PM.
