Itinerary
- Day 1
Zanzibar to Selous (Nyerere NP)
You'll catch an early morning flight from Zanzibar heading to Selous, which is now called Nyerere National Park. Once you arrive and get settled at your lodge, there's time to relax before heading out on the Rufiji River for a sunset boat safari. During that boat trip you'll likely see hippos, crocodiles, and elephants hanging around the water, plus various birds. Then it's back to the lodge for dinner.

Selous (Nyerere NP)
After breakfast you're spending the whole day on a game drive through the Selous wilderness. There's a good chance you'll encounter elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, and zebras, and if you're lucky you might spot an African wild dog since they're pretty rare in this area. You'll have a picnic lunch out in the savannahs and woodlands with wetlands around you, then head back to the lodge.

Selous (Nyerere NP) to Mikumi
This morning starts with a guided walking safari led by a local bushman who'll teach you how to read animal tracks, identify medicinal plants, and handle yourself in the bush. From there you're driven to the airstrip for a short flight to Mikumi National Park. After landing, you'll transfer to Camp Bastian Lodge where dinner is waiting for you.

Landmarks Mikumi National Park - Day 4
Mikumi to Udzungwa
You'll have an early breakfast before heading out on a game drive across the Mkata floodplain in Mikumi. This area is known for having elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and various predators roaming around. Later in the day the group travels by road toward the Udzungwa Mountains and arrives at a forest lodge for dinner, surrounded by nature.

Udzungwa to Zanzibar
After breakfast you're hiking through the Udzungwa rainforest to reach Sanje Waterfalls. Along the way you should spot endemic monkeys and colorful birds, and the views over the Kilombero Valley are great. Once you reach the waterfall and descend back down, there's lunch waiting. The afternoon involves driving to the airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar, where the tour ends.
