Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu where someone from the tour company picks you up and takes you to your hotel. This gives you time to settle in and adjust to being in Nepal.

Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
An early morning flight gets you to Lukla (or Ramechhap if it's peak season). From the airstrip, you'll trek for about 3 hours down to Phakding, where you'll stay overnight at a guest house and start getting used to the altitude.

Landmarks Lukla Airport - Day 3
Phakding to Namche
After breakfast at the lodge, you'll trek from Phakding to Namche, which takes 6 to 7 hours of walking. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi river valley as it climbs steadily. You'll spend the night at a lodge in Namche.

- Day 4
Namche Acclimatization Day
This is a rest day so your body can adjust to the altitude. If you want to, you can hike up to Everest View Hotel to see Mt. Everest and nearby peaks like Ama Dablam and Lhotse. Other options include walking around Khumjung valley, checking out Hillary School and Khunde Hospital. Back in Namche, walk through the bazaar and chat with local Sherpa and Rai people.

Namche to Phorste Thanga
You'll leave Namche Bazaar and walk along the ridge, then climb steeply out of the valley through forests of rhododendron and juniper trees. The route gets higher as the day goes on. Overnight at a lodge along the way.

Landmarks Namche Bazaar - Day 6
Phorste Thanga to Machhapare
Starting from the ridge, you'll climb a bit more before descending into the Kengtega valley. The day includes nice views of the mountains as you make your way down and across the valley floor.

- Day 7
Machhapare to Gokyo
The trek takes you up to Gokyo at 4790m, which is one of your main destinations. You'll climb through a ridge at Chorten, and from there the views open up to show Mt. Kangtega, Thamserku, and Cho-Oyu (8153m) off to the north, plus fabulous views down the valley.

- Day 8
Gokyo
Early in the morning, you'll hike up to Gokyo Ri to catch the sunrise over the peaks and valley. After that, you'll trek back down to Gokyo for the night.

Landmarks Gokyo Ri - Day 9
Gokyo to Namche
From Gokyo, you'll descend on a steep path down to the Dudh Koshi river, then climb back up to Namche Bazaar. It's a long day with elevation changes. You'll stay at a guest house in Namche.

Namche to Lukla
You'll trek back to Lukla following the same route. Once you get there, make sure to reconfirm your flight to Kathmandu. Overnight at a guest house in Lukla.

Landmarks Lukla - Day 11
Lukla to Kathmandu
After breakfast, you'll head to the airstrip and fly back to Kathmandu, which takes roughly 35 minutes. Once in the city, you'll get transferred to your hotel. The evening is free, so you can wander around Thamel on your own.

Landmarks Thamel - Day 12
Kathmandu Departure
On your last day, a staff member from the tour company will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport according to your flight time.
