Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi to Sapa
You'll meet at Hanoi station in the evening and board an overnight train heading to Lao Cai, arriving early the next morning. A driver picks you up for the short ride to Sapa, and after breakfast at your hotel, you're ready to trek. Your guide takes you down to Cat Cat village where you'll see how the Black H'mong people live day to day, then continue walking to a scenic waterfall and the old French Hydraulic Power Station before heading back uphill. Lunch happens at a local restaurant, and once you've checked in, the rest of the afternoon and evening are yours to wander around Sapa town before dinner.

- Day 2
Sapa to Hanoi
After breakfast at the hotel you check out (leaving larger bags behind), then trek through Y Linh Ho and rice terraces along Muong Hoa Stream to reach Lao Chai, a Black Hmong village where you can take in views of Hoang Lien Son Mountain. From there you head to Ta Van, where the Dzay ethnic people live. Lunch comes at a local restaurant, and then it's a bus transfer back to Sapa. You'll have the afternoon free to rest or explore town on your own before heading to Lao Cai station for your overnight train back to Hanoi.
