Itinerary
- Day 1
Tarangire National Park
Your driver picks you up after breakfast and heads into Tarangire National Park for the day. You'll drive through landscapes with the Tarangire River, Acacia woodlands, and those massive African Baobab trees scattered around. The park has large elephant herds plus rarer animals like Greater Kudu and Fringed-eared Oryx if you're lucky. After stopping for lunch at a picnic site, you'll continue the game drive through the afternoon until heading back to camp as evening comes on.

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you leave Tarangire and drive toward Serengeti National Park, covering about 242 km through Karatu's highlands and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive takes you down from the elevated terrain into the Serengeti's open plains. You'll arrive in time for lunch in the Seronera area, which is one of the richest wildlife zones in the park, then head out for an afternoon game drive to get your bearings.

- Day 3
Serengeti National Park
You'll spend the entire day on game drives in the Serengeti tracking the migrating herds. Your guide positions you to see wildebeest, zebras, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and the Big Five. Where the herds are changes by season - southern plains during November through December, central Serengeti from April to June, and north from July through October. Your guide knows the patterns and where to find the best wildlife sightings.

- Day 4
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Game drives continue after breakfast until lunchtime. Then you drive 147 km toward Ngorongoro for the night. Along the way you get to see how the Maasai people live their traditional lives and learn about their culture throughout the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

- Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater
You start early with breakfast, then descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day safari. The crater holds large groups of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and African elephants, with plenty of predators like lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards around. This area has the highest concentration of black rhinos in the region. You'll stop at Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the southwest corner where flamingos and hippos hang out, and have lunch at a picnic site.
