Itinerary
- Day 1
Athens to Kalambaka
You'll board a bus from Athens Railway Station at 8:00 AM and spend about four and a half hours traveling through the Greek countryside toward Kalambaka. The drive takes you out of the city and into rolling hills and farmland, arriving around 12:30. Your driver meets you at the station for the short transfer to your hotel. After settling in and having lunch, the evening opens up for the Meteora Sunset Tour. This gives you a chance to see the rock formations during golden hour and learn about some of the quieter spots most people miss.

Kalambaka
After breakfast at your hotel, your guide meets you in the lobby to start either the hiking tour or the half-day morning tour, depending on which one you've chosen. Both options take you through Meteora's natural landscape and explain the history of the monks and hermits who built the monastic communities in these rock formations. You'll get a real sense of why this place matters culturally and spiritually. By afternoon, you'll head back to your hotel, then make the transfer to the train station by 5:30 PM. The bus departs at 5:45 PM for the return journey to Athens, getting back around 10:30 PM.
