Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Kathmandu to Chame

Begin with a 6-7 hour bus ride to Besisahar, then switch to a jeep for the drive through Jagat and Dharapani. You'll arrive in Chame by evening, a small settlement on the Marsyangdi River with several major peaks visible from town. The road winds through changing landscapes as you gain elevation gradually.

    Start point
Kathmandu, Bagmati, Nepal (We will pick you up from The airport.)
    Landmarks
    Annapurna II
    Lamjung Himal
    Manaslu
    Peak 29
    Marsyangdi River
  2. Day 2

    Chame

Another 6-7 hour bus journey takes you to Besisahar before transferring to a jeep. From there, drive through Jagat and the busy town of Dharapani on your way to Chame. By the time you settle in for the night, you'll have clear views of Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu, and Peak 29 from your location on the river.

    Landmarks
    Annapurna II
    Lamjung Himal
    Manaslu
    Peak 29
    Marsyangdi River
  3. Day 3

    Chame to Pisang

Trek out of Chame this morning heading toward Pisang. You'll pass through Telekhu village with the Annapurna Ranges and Mt. Pisang coming into view. Later you'll cross a suspension bridge spanning the Marsyangdi River, then walk through a pine forest before the trail starts climbing into the upper Manang Valley where you'll reach Pisang.

    Included Activities

    • Trek from Chame to Pisang via Telekhu with views of Annapurna Ranges and Mt. Pisang
    Landmarks
    Mt. Pisang
    Annapurna Range
    Marsyangdi River
    Manang Valley
  4. Day 4

    Pisang to Braga

Leave Pisang and trek to Braga, a traditional Tibetan village with distinctive architecture where houses are stacked one on top of another. The region's largest Buddhist temple, the Gompa, sits in the village. Many trekkers use this stop for acclimatization, so you might find the area fairly quiet with good opportunities to explore the local culture.

    Included Activities

    • Trek from Pisang to Braga with visit to Manang Gompa (Buddhist temple)
    Landmarks
    Manang Gompa
  5. Day 5

    Braga to Manang

This is an active acclimatization day. You'll climb up to Khangsar at 3756m/12,320ft and then return to Manang for your overnight stay. The climb helps your body adjust to the higher altitude while keeping you moving, which is better for acclimatization than staying completely still in one location.

    Meals
    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    Included Activities

    • Acclimatization hike to Khangsar (3756m)
    Landmarks
    Khangsar
  6. Day 6

    Manang to Khangsar

From Manang, trek through Khangsar, an unusual stone village that looks quite different from other settlements in the region. Follow the ridge trail as it winds toward Khangsar at 3734m/12,250ft. The views here include Kang Guru Peak, which you won't see from many other places along this route.

    Included Activities

    • Trek from Manang to Khangsar with views of Kang Guru Peak
    Landmarks
    Kang Guru Peak
  7. Day 7

    Khangsar to Sri Kharka

Spend 5 to 6 hours trekking up toward Tilicho Lake, which sits at the base of Tilicho Peak. Along the way you might see yaks and deer moving through the landscape. The lake changes color throughout the day depending on the light, shifting between different shades of blue. After spending time there, head back down to Sri Kharka for the night.

    Meals
    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    Included Activities

    • Trek to Tilicho Lake (approximately 5-6 hours)
    Landmarks
    Tilicho Lake
    Tilicho Peak
  8. Day 8

    Sri Kharka to Thorong Phedi

Trek downward from Sri Kharka to Khangsar Village, then walk past Tare Gumba monastery. Follow the Thorong Khola Valley through the area, passing the abandoned village of Old Khangsar on the way. Continue through Yak Kharka and after about 3 more hours you'll arrive at Thorong Phedi, your base for the big pass crossing tomorrow.

    Meals
    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

    Included Activities

    • Trek through Tare Gumba (3870m) monastery
    • Trek from Sri Kharka to Thorong Phedi via Yak Kharka
    Landmarks
    Tare Gumba
    Thorong Khola Valley
  9. Day 9

    Thorong Phedi to Muktinath

This is the most challenging day of the entire trek, taking 7-8 hours of hiking at significant altitude. The wind can be strong up here, so pack accordingly. You'll encounter herds of sheep and yaks, plus the merchants who supply high-altitude teahouses. After crossing Thorong La Pass, which gives views of Annapurna, Gangapurna, and Khatungkang, you'll descend roughly 1600m/5,250ft to Muktinath. The full day comes to about 10 hours.

    Meals
    Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  10. Day 10

    Muktinath to Pokhara

Leave Muktinath and travel by jeep through Jomsom, Tatopani, and Beni Bazaar as you head toward Pokhara. By evening you'll reach a hotel on the shores of Phewa Tal lake. After settling in, walk around the lakeside area to check out the shops and catch the sunset, which reflects off the Annapurna ranges across the water.

    Optional Activities

    • Explore shops along lakeside in Pokhara
    • Watch sunset over Annapurna ranges from Phewa Tal lake edge

I recently completed the Annapurna Circuit trek with Sherpa Expedition, guided by Ramesh, and I can’t recommend them enough! Ramesh is incredibly experienced, caring, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire journey. From the moment we started, he made sure everything was perfectly organized — all the accommodations were comfortable and cozy, the food was delicious and nutritious, and every detail was taken care of so we could focus on enjoying the trek. Ramesh’s knowledge of the trail and the local culture added so much richness to the experience. He was always there to support and encourage us, making sure we were safe and comfortable every step of the way. His kindness and dedication truly made the trek unforgettable. If you’re thinking about trekking in Nepal, especially the Annapurna Circuit, do yourself a favor and go with Sherpa Expedition and Ramesh. You won’t regret it!

We recently completed the Manaslu Circuit Trek with Sherpa Expedition and Trekking, and it was truly one of the best experiences of our lives! Our guide Dawa Sherpa was incredible – he may be small in size, but he has a huge heart! So kind, attentive, and always looking out for us every single step of the way. He even helped carry our backpack on the challenging Larke La Pass day – we will never forget that! Our porter Hari was also wonderful – always smiling and so supportive throughout the trek. Together, they made us feel safe, cared for, and completely at ease in the mountains. The teahouses they arranged for us were excellent – clean, comfortable, and with delicious food. Everything was so well organized from start to finish. We didn’t have to worry about anything – just enjoy the stunning scenery and the journey. We highly recommend Sherpa Expedition and Trekking to anyone planning a trek in Nepal. Thank you Dawa, Hari, and the entire team for such a memorable adventure. We hope to trek with you again soon!

Trekking to Everest Base Camp was the adventure of a lifetime, and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner than Sherpa Travel Agency. My guide, Frunzi, was incredibly kind, attentive, and supportive—always adjusting the pace to suit me and making sure I was safe and well every step of the way. Together with Bala, our strong and cheerful porter, they helped me reach the base camp successfully and with confidence. The agency provided the best possible accommodations in the mountains, with great vegetarian meal options throughout the trek. Ram, the agency owner, stayed in constant contact and generously offered high-quality gear (sleeping bag, poles, and down jacket) free of charge. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, and I wholeheartedly recommend this tour for anyone taking on this incredible journey.
