Itinerary
- Day 1
Luanda
A representative from AgateTravel will be waiting for you at Luanda International Airport and will take you to your hotel in central Luanda. After you settle in, there's time to relax at the hotel or take a walk around the neighborhood to get a feel for the area.

Luanda
Following breakfast, an experienced guide will take you through Luanda's main attractions. You'll walk through the old town of Baixa de Luanda where colonial-style buildings still line the streets, and then visit Fort Sao Miguel, the Agostinho Neto Mausoleum, and several churches in the area.

Kissama National Park
After breakfast, you'll head south to Miradouro de Lua viewpoint, then travel to River Kwanza for a 1 to 2 hour boat trip. Keep an eye out for blue monkeys, various bird species, and crocodiles as your guide shares information about local life. Later, after a picnic lunch, you'll cross into Kissama National Park for a 2 to 3 hour game drive where zebras, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, hippos, and flamingos can be seen. You'll return to Luanda by late afternoon.

Luanda to Malanje
This day starts early around 6am for the 6 hour drive to Kalandula Falls. Around 9am, you'll stop in a small village to rest, then continue eastward and visit N'dalatando Botanical Gardens along the way. Lunch will be a packed meal in the car to save time at the falls. You'll explore the 105 meter Kalandula Waterfalls from various angles and photograph the views. After, you'll head to Malanje for the night, about 1.5 hours from the falls.

Malanje to Luanda
After breakfast, take a short tour of Malanje city, then travel about 1.5 hours to Pedras Negras to see the Black Rocks. These unusual rock formations shaped like animals dot the savanna and offer great views from the top, including the Kapanda Dam reservoir. You'll also see the famous rock footprint of Queen Ginga before heading back west to Luanda.

Luanda to Lubango
In the morning, visit Shipwreck Beach, a unique spot where forgotten cargo ships from around the world sit on the sand (the largest one gives the beach its name). In the afternoon, you'll travel to Luanda airport for your flight to Lubango, Angola's second largest city. Your guide will meet you upon arrival and take you to the hotel.

Lubango to Namibe
The morning includes a guided tour of Lubango where you'll see Cristo Rei, Nossa Sra Monte, and Tundavala Gorge, plus colonial and religious historical sites. Later, you'll drive across the Serra de Leba mountain range with its famous winding roads and then travel to Namibe, a coastal town on the ocean. A quick tour of Namibe happens before you check into your lodge for the night.

Namibe Desert
You'll explore the Namibe Desert, one of the oldest and most extensive deserts in the world. As you move toward the northern areas, you'll notice the climate change. The tour includes stops at the beautiful Oasis O Arco and views of the enormous Welwitschia Mirabilis plants. After the tour, you'll travel to Namibe airport for your flight back to Luanda.
