Itinerary
- Day 1
Delhi to Jaipur
Your guide will meet you at Delhi airport or your hotel to begin exploring the city's main sites. Start with the Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that once served as home to Mughal emperors, and then head over to Jama Masjid, one of India's largest mosques. After that, you'll stop at Raj Ghat to pay respects at Mahatma Gandhi's memorial, and then check out India Gate, a war memorial from World War II. In the afternoon, drive to Jaipur for your overnight stay.

Jaipur
Following breakfast, you'll check out Jaipur's top attractions. Amber Fort sits on a hilltop overlooking Maota Lake and offers nice views of the city below. From there you'll walk through City Palace with its courtyards and gardens, then head to Hawa Mahal to see its distinctive facade with hundreds of small windows. Jantar Mantar comes next, an 18th-century astronomical observatory with the world's largest stone sundial. Later you'll drive to Ranthambore and settle into your hotel.

- Day 3
Ranthambore to Agra
An early start gets you out for a wildlife safari at Ranthambore National Park in a shared jeep or canter. You'll have chances to spot leopards, jackals, gazelles, boars, and tigers (around 62 tigers live here according to 2014 census counts). The animals move freely around the lake so viewing opportunities vary. After returning for breakfast, you'll drive to Agra and check into your accommodations.

- Day 4
Agra
Your driver picks you up at 6 a.m. for a sunrise visit to Taj Mahal with a guide leading the way. You'll head back for breakfast, then return to see Taj Mahal again, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous monument. Next comes Agra Fort, also UNESCO-listed. You'll have free time for shopping in Agra that evening before heading to the railway station for an overnight train to Varanasi.

Varanasi
After breakfast you'll do a local city tour through Varanasi. Kashi Vishwanath Temple comes first, one of Hinduism's most important temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. From there, head to Dashashwamedh Ghat, famous for its evening aarti ceremonies. Sarnath sits nearby as a major Buddhist pilgrimage site with temples and stupas including Dhamek Stupa. You'll walk through other ghats like Assi, Tulsi, and Manikarnika, then check out Ramnagar Fort with its museum. Shopping at local markets follows, particularly Vishwanath Gali for Banarasi silk sarees and handicrafts, before returning to your hotel.

- Day 6
Varanasi
Rise early for a boat ride on the Ganges to catch the sunrise, then return for breakfast. Later you'll head back to Sarnath for Buddhist sites. New Vishwanath Temple (Birla Mandir) at Banaras Hindu University took about 35 years to complete. Tulsi Manas Temple, built by the royal family in 1964, is where poet Tulsidas supposedly wrote the Ramcharitramanas epic. Nearby Durga Temple features monkeys and honors Goddess Durga. By evening you'll witness Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, a daily ceremony that's been practiced for thousands of years.
