- JGJennifer· August 4th, 2023Was tremendously excited about our trip and using Wingbuddy; however it did not last long. Our flight from Montreal from Venice was ok until we could not find our transfer to our hotel. We did not dilly dally and was at the exit point with our luggage. There was an airport strike at the airport which we were unaware of which did take a while to deplane. Other people from Wingbuddy got their transfer from the same flight. Our transportation had left. We called the help line and were told the driver left after waiting an hour and 15 minutes which did not match our timing. After calling the “ help” number were told we were on our own to find transportation to our hotel. It cost 75 euros. Upon arrival to our hotel the air conditioner was not working which made sleeping difficult. Hotel’s response was “it’s July in a heat wave- what do you expect”. All of the hotel rooms in Italy had air conditioning issues either in our room or our sons’ room. The biggest let down however happened when we took our transportation from our hotel in Rome to the airport. We were bumped from the flight from Rome to Athens. Another couple who took the same transportation with us got on the flight. Not sure why were were bumped as we booked trip very early in advance. We then had to sit in the airport for the next 7 hours hoping to get on the next flight. We lost a day in Athens after arriving at the hotel at 2:30am. The other couple who made it on the original flight told the transportation What had happened and asked if we could be picked up when our flight came in. They were told that we would be on our own for transportation. We had to pay 95 euros for our taxi. BUT the absolute worst was knowing we had to be ready for 6am for the ferry to Paros. We were ready and outside the hotel by 5:45 am. We were exhausted and nauseous from the stress. After waiting for 1/2 hour we were finally told the bus had an issue and would be arriving shortly…we did finally make it to the ferry but was stressed and beyond exhausted. There were many Wingbuddy customers frustrated and concerned. One couple finally gave up and booked a taxi to the ferry. Our room was the last room to be ready from our group. Thankfully another guest offered their room so we could change and head to the pool. Our air conditioning did not work and it took 1 1/2 hours to get if to finally work. It was at 2:30am that it was finally working. I am saddened about the many “hiccups” that occurred on this trip and the extra money we had not planned on spending. Tracking flights is not that hard as my 78 year old mother can figure it out. If transportation could track flights and be aware of things like airport strikes that may impact pick ups. Perhaps also being aware that your customers can be bumped from flights and putting this in the itinerary as a warning. Phoning from planes is not a realistic thing to do in foreign countries. All they offer is their apologies ….. Will not recommend to family and friendsShow moreTrip date: July 2023

We can accommodate 2 separate beds at each hotel. The itinerary includes Florence which is in Tuscany. This adventure is a freedom tour, this means that we take care of your airport transfers, accommodations with breakfasts and trains between cities. You are free to schedule excursions, guided tours directly at destination with the tour desk of your hotels. For example, in Venice, you can pick a tour to go to Murano and Burano or from Florence, you could take a tour to go to Pisa.
