  1. Days 1 - 2

    Venice

    You'll arrive in Venice during the late afternoon and connect with your group at the hostel. From there, the canal network and 127 islands are yours to explore at your own pace. Check out the Basilica San Marco for the views it offers, then head over to Murano and Burano to see the colorful buildings and try some gelato before you depart for Rome.

  2. Days 3 - 4

    Venice to Rome

    Travel to Rome and drop your bags at the hostel before heading out for traditional pizza or pasta. By morning on day 4, you'll have included access to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. The afternoon opens up with options: you can visit the Colosseum and Roman Forum, walk around and see what catches your eye, or just take it easy. When evening comes around, YellowBar is available for drinks if you're interested.

  3. Days 5 - 6

    Rome to Florence

    Head to Florence, which sits in Tuscany. On day 5, you'll explore at your own pace, walking past the Florence Cathedral, Piazza Della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, and the Porcellino Fountain (touching its nose is supposed to bring luck). The Uffizi Museum and Boboli Gardens are optional if you want to go deeper. Day 6 brings an included tour of the Chianti vineyards where you'll sample regional wines.

    Travel to Nice on the French Riviera where you can relax in the sunshine. Day 7 offers optional activities like a walking tour of the old town and Castle Hill, or you can join a club and bar crawl. The next day, after grabbing food, you'll head out for included scuba diving in the Mediterranean to see the sea life, then speed past homes of wealthy residents and join an evening bar crawl. Day 9 gives you options to try kayaking or a Segway tour around the city.

Day 11 is free time, so take the Montjuic Cable Car for the 360-degree views of Barcelona and the Spanish coastline, or relax on the beach. Day 12 has an included cooking class where you'll learn to make traditional tapas, leaving the afternoon open for the Gaudi Museum, Parc Guell, the Gothic Quarter, a catamaran sail, or the beach-front ice bar.

Later, you'll have an included sunset visit to Tour Montparnasse where you'll watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle while reflecting on your four weeks traveling together.

      You'd need to arrange flights yourself but the best arrival airport to fly into is Venice Marco Polo. It's has easy access to the hostel by public transport.

      Our Whole of Europe Group Tour, as it is a backpacking tour, is for people aged 18-35. Unfortunately, your son won't be able to go on this one as the accommodation is shared hostel dorms and under 18s aren't able to stay in dorms. If you did want to book this trip for your family, you can check out our Whole Hog routes. The Whole Hog: 4 Weeks goes to most of the same destinations. It's a self guided trip but it's open to people of all ages.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before February 4th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 4th, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Euroventure Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Euroventure Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
