Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Dhap Bazaar to Jhapre
Your trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazaar following the Sunkoshi River as it winds through forests and rice terraces. Once there, you'll walk through the bazaar markets to see how locals dress and what they sell, then head on foot toward Jhapre Village. Along the way, stop at Buddhist monasteries to see the architecture and learn about the area. By the time you reach Jhapre, you'll have a chance to watch Tibetan Buddhist rituals at the local monastery.

Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp
This morning, trek toward Pikey Base Camp, the second highest point on your route. The trail takes you past Mani stones and stupas as you move through mountain landscape. You'll come across ancient Buddhist monasteries built into the terrain, each one offering a quiet moment to pause and take in your surroundings.

Landmarks Pikey Base Camp - Day 3
Pikey Peak to Jhapre
Head up to Pikey Peak early, where you can see across the entire Himalayan range from Kanchenjunga to Dhaulagiri, and on clear days Mt. Everest rises above the horizon. Yaks graze along the trail, and herders sometimes stop to sell fresh yak milk if you're interested. After spending time with those views, make your way back down to Pikey Base Camp and continue the trek down to Jhapre for the night.

Jhapre to Kathmandu
After breakfast, catch a jeep or bus heading back to Kathmandu, which wraps up your Pikey Peak trek. The drive takes you back through the landscape you've been exploring over the past few days.
