- Daniel· June 15th, 2025We had the pleasure of a Kanzwa short holiday break excursion - 2 Nights Safari Tour to Kafue National park. This was at the end of a nearly two week stay in Zambia. I can’t recommend highly enough the staff at Lochinvar. Our guide Fines was full of knowledge, not only about ALL of the animals but local culture and Zambian history. He could not have been more helpful at all times and was always thinking one step ahead for us. Chimuka, our driver to and from Lusaka was always happy smiley and ready with a joke and his driving was very relaxing until you hit the roads with the “African massage”. Not his fault. Our safari driver Dominic has the driest sense of humour known to man. Quietly hilarious, but what a safari driver, getting us into all the best spots for viewing the amazing wildlife. Lastly but my no means least, Angela and her amazing food wow. Beautifully cooked African quisine all supplied by Lochnivar. Thank you guys. The memories will stay with us forever.Show more
- Stephanie· May 24th, 2025Wow....loved our safari trip! It was an amazing adventure though 3 countries. The most memorable part of the trip was our guide Fines and our driver Alex. Fines is an amazing guide, he is deeply knowledgeable, passionate, kind and funny, couldn't ask for a better guide. Alex is a great driver, we always felt safe with him behind the wheel, and I loved our chats, he's a lovely guy. We visited 3 safari parks which were great, and loved the days we visited the museums and met locals and even met the district commissioner (what a privilege) There were some hotels that didn't always have electricity because of the drought which can happen in this region but as travellers it gives you an insight of the daily life of this culture/community. Some members of our group had concerns about one of the hotels, and our guides handled the situation seamlessly by arranging a smooth transition to new accommodations. While we were personally comfortable, we were happy to move with the rest of the group Our safari holiday was lots of fun and a perfect blend of adventure and authentic African wilderness. We had an unforgettable and a one in a lifetime experience with Lochinvar Safaris. I don't think it would have been such an amazing adventure without Fines and Alex. It means you will not be cycling right through the entire 13 days of the tour unless you decide to do so yourself. After riding the bicycle for some time on any particular day, you will be picked up into our support vehicle which will always be on your side. So, it is mixed with Bicycling and an overland vehicle for the tour to make easy and enjoyable for the ordinary rider.

It is a bicycling safari tour where you ride on a comfortable bicycle whilst cycling on the shoulders of the main road highways to Livingstone. After a while of cycling, you are then picked up in our utility vehicle and ferried to the next destination.
