Itinerary
- Day 1
Ho Chi Minh
Your driver meets you in the arrival lobby at Tan Son Nhat International Airport after you clear customs. The transfer to your hotel takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you check in, the rest of your day is completely open - some people rest after the flight, others head out to grab dinner or walk around the hotel area to get oriented.

- Day 2
Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta
After breakfast at the hotel, you head to My Tho to experience the Mekong Delta properly. A sampan takes you through mangrove waterways where you can stop at local orchards to taste tropical fruits while folk music plays. You'll see a coconut candy workshop and honeybee farm, then either cycle around Tan Thanh village or relax in a hammock if that appeals more. By evening you're back in Ho Chi Minh.

- Day 3
Ho Chi Minh
This morning covers Ho Chi Minh's colonial sites and war history - Independence Palace, the exterior of Notre Dame Cathedral, and Central Post Office show the old French influence, then the War Remnants Museum provides context. After lunch, you head out to Cu Chi Tunnels where you'll watch an introduction video and walk through the actual tunnel system soldiers used during the war. They serve tea and cassava as a simple meal, showing what people ate underground.

- Day 4
Ho Chi Minh to Hoi An
Your hotel pickup gets you to Ho Chi Minh airport for your flight to Da Nang. Once you land, a driver transfers you to Hoi An and checks you into the hotel. From there, you can wander through the old town at your own pace, checking out the lantern-lined streets and picking a restaurant for dinner.

- Day 5
Hoi An
You start at a local market selecting ingredients with a chef who explains what you'll cook. Then it's off to Cam Thanh village where a basket boat glides through coconut jungle. Back at the restaurant you learn to prepare Vietnamese dishes and then sit down to eat everything you made. The drive back to your hotel ends the day.

Hoi An to Hanoi

- Day 7
Hanoi
Your guide picks you up to tour Hanoi's important sites. You'll see Tran Quoc Pagoda on Golden Fish Island, the Ho Chi Minh Complex with his mausoleum and residences, and the One Pillar Pagoda. Lunch features Vietnamese food, then you visit the Temple of Literature, the country's first university, and finish with the Hoa Lo Prison museum, which covers Vietnam's war history.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
Leaving Hanoi after breakfast, you reach Halong Bay by around noon and board a cruise ship. Lunch happens while the boat moves through hundreds of limestone formations. The afternoon brings swimming, kayaking, or cave visits depending on your boat's schedule. By evening the cruise anchors and you watch the sunset before dinner on board.
