    Arrival in Tashkent

    You'll land at Tashkent International Airport where the tour team greets you. After getting transferred to your hotel and checking in, the rest of the day is yours to settle in and wander around on your own if you'd like.

  2. Day 2

    Tashkent Sightseeing

    Your guide meets you at 09:00 for a tour of Tashkent's main sites. You'll see the Hazrati Imom Complex, walk through one of the city's busiest markets, then grab lunch at the well-known Besh Qozon Plov Center. After that, you'll check out Amir Temurs Square, Independence Square, and the Museum of Applied Arts before dinner.

    After breakfast at the hotel, you'll head to the train station at 07:30 for the journey to Bukhara, arriving at 12:19. You'll have lunch and then spend the afternoon touring the city's Islamic and cultural heritage, including ancient mausoleums, mosques, and madrasas. There's a tea break at a local tea house, then dinner with panoramic views.

    Bukhara to Samarkand

    Following breakfast, you'll continue exploring Bukhara's historic sites like the Labi Hauz Complex, the four-minaret Chor Minor, Kukaldash Madrasah, Magoki Atoori Mosque, and Tim Abdulla Khan Trading Dome. You'll have lunch, then board a train at 15:50 to Samarkand, arriving at 17:32 for dinner.

    Samarkand

    You'll explore sites from the Timurid dynasty, starting with the Guri Amir Mausoleum and Registan Square with its three madrasas. For lunch, you'll try traditional Samarkand plov at the Osh center. The afternoon includes the Bibi Khanum Mosque, the active Siab Bazaar, and the Shahi Zinda Complex. You'll end with dinner and a Manti cooking class.

Lunch is at a popular Samsa house, then you'll explore the Afrasiab Museum and the ancient Konigil paper factory. You'll board a train at 17:32 back to Tashkent for dinner and the night.

    I learned a lot about the local culture, history and recent post independence (1991) events and developments from the guides in Khiva, Bokhara, Samarkand and Tashkent. I would say chatting to the informed, educated guides made the experience so good. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

    Everything was excellent apart from journey from Khiva to Bukhara train journey. Train travel was horrible in a shared sleeper without air conditioning.
