Itinerary
- Day 1
Antalya
You'll fly into Antalya and head to your hotel in Kaleici, the old town. Once you settle in, there's time to walk through the historic area on your own. You'll find romantic courtyards with cafés scattered around, and the main sights like Hadrian's Gate, the Yivli Minare Mosque, and the old harbor are all within reach for exploring at whatever pace works for you.

Antalya to Ovacik
Your tour guide meets you in the morning for a briefing, then you'll drive over the highlands toward Fethiye. The first hike starts from Hisaronu/Belcegiz and takes you through the ghost town ruins of Kayakoy. After that, you descend to Ölüdeniz and its turquoise lagoon, where you have time to relax on the beach in the late afternoon before heading to your hotel in Ovacik.

Ovacik
A short drive gets you to the Lycian Way trailhead. You'll hike through shady pine forest up the southern slope of Babadag mountain with the Ölüdeniz lagoon visible below. As you climb higher, you'll see paragliders overhead and pass through the traditional villages of Kozagac and Kirme. The panoramic views of the Mediterranean make this section really special.

Ovacik
You'll drive to Faralya to continue on the Lycian Way. Along this stretch, you see Butterfly Valley with its 300 meter cliffs, and the hike takes you through fragrant pine forests with great Mediterranean views. The path follows terraced garden routes to Kabak village, where you can swim in the bay before heading back to your hotel.

Ovacik to Kas
After leaving Ovacik, you drive to Patara near Gelemis. You'll explore the early morning dunes and check out the ancient Patara ruins, including Roman structures like a triumphal arch, baths, theater, and lighthouse. There's a hike from Saribelen through rock formations with sea views, then you drive on to Kas and settle in for a two-night stay.

Kas
This day is yours to use as you like in Kas, a former fishing village with a historic center. You can wander the narrow alleyways and check out the colorful shops and small cafés. If you want something more active, there's an optional minibus trip to Kaputas Beach, where you'll find white pebbles and turquoise water beneath 150 meter cliffs, good for swimming.

Kas to Ucagiz
You'll drive to Bayindir and start a scenic coastal hike with views of Ufakdere bay. The path takes you along wide gravel roads and gently downward toward the sea, passing through pine forests and reaching viewpoints over Iskele bay. You'll pass ancient watchtower remains on the way to Gemiler bay, where there's time for a swim and lunch. Later, you continue to Ucagiz and check into a family-run guesthouse.

Ucagiz
You hike from Kilicli village using well-trodden shepherd's paths to reach the Aperlai ruins, an old Lycian League settlement. You'll see preserved sarcophagi, tombs, city walls, and partially submerged harbor remains. The route continues over rocky terrain through forest to Ramazan's Place, a local fisherman's teahouse where you take a break, then head back along the coast to Ucagiz.

Landmarks/POIs Aperlai Ruins  - Day 9
Ucagiz
You board a traditional Turkish gulet for about a 4-hour coastal sail. The boat takes you to Aquarium bay for swimming, then to the submerged Byzantine church ruins at Tersane ancient shipyard. Later you reach Kekova island to explore the sunken city ruins in clear water and visit Simena Castle. Lunch is served on board before you return to Ucagiz in the late afternoon.

Ucagiz to Adrasan
Starting near Ucagiz at Gokkaya, you hike past the remains of an old Ottoman-era olive factory. The path continues through sandy sections and green pastures to Kapakli village, then on to the Myra ruins, which became important due to Nicholas of Myra and was one of the Lycian League's six largest cities. You reach Adrasan in the late afternoon and settle in for a three-night stay.

Adrasan
This is one of the most beautiful sections of the Lycian Way and a longer, more challenging stage. You'll hike almost constantly with sea views, passing breathtaking cliffs and fragrant pines with mountain flowers. The route takes you toward Cape Gelidonya and its lighthouse with views of offshore islands, then continues to the small village of Karaöz along a stable gravel path.

Adrasan
You hike to Olympos, a former major Lycian League city with surviving temple remains, necropolis with inscribed graves, settlement ruins, and sarcophagi. The path winds through a huge wooded area as you climb, with rock towers and sea occasionally visible. You reach a mountain pasture called Mosesberg with great panoramic views, pass mighty pine and laurel trees with unusual rock formations, then arrive back in Adrasan.

Adrasan to Antalya
You drive to Cirali, a former pirate stronghold now known for ecotourism and sea turtles. There's a hike at the foot of the 'burning mountain' where you see the Temple of Hephaestus and the natural fires of Chimaira, burning natural gas from rock fissures. You also visit the flowing waters of Ulupinar. Then it's a beautiful coastal drive back to Antalya and your hotel in the old town.

Antalya
Time to head to the airport. Book a cab transfer through your hotel. If other tour participants have similar flight times, you can split the taxi costs.
