The actual trip was great but I would have appreciated more scenery and nature stops rather than just mentions that we were passing them Also I didn’t appreciate our guide stating our driver was paid tip money because it was a premium trip but failed to mention she was also given tip money so all passengers tipped her according to the guidelines set out by Intrepid

    Asked on June 27th, 2025

Could you please clarify the difference between "Standard" and "Premium" hotel options? As a 40 yr old female solo traveler planning to join in July or August, I'm curious about the typical age range of participants on this trip. Any tips for solo travelers would also be appreciated!

    • Intrepid PremiumOperatorWritten June 2025

Standard hotels are typically at a local 3-star level. They include air-conditioning or heating, Wi-Fi in common areas and rooms, and sometimes a pool. Premium hotels are usually at a local 4-star level. They offer a higher level of comfort, with air-conditioning or heating, Wi-Fi available in rooms, and a pool is generally preferred. We often welcome solo travelers like yourself! While groups can vary, the typical age range tends to be between 30–60 years, with a great mix of backgrounds. Many solo travelers find it's a fantastic way to meet like-minded people and enjoy the journey in great company.

      TravelerWritten June 2025

Would it be possible to know the hotels we would be staying at and also the average ages of the other people in the group. Are there solo travelers? I am a 40 year old female and was hoping to travel with like minded people 30 - 50. I would do the premium option hotel.

    • Intrepid PremiumOperatorWritten June 2025

The hotel's used are actually listed within the itinerary for the tour itself. To provide exact traveler demographics, we would need to know the exact departure date you are looking to take as they can change date to date.
