- MTMichael· May 19th, 2019The initial meet up was not clear as there were multiple tours getting on the same bus at the same time. The individuals there were unable to provide any clarity on what tours were on which bus. Luckily, we got on the right bus and were transported to Pompeii and after the tour there, we were to be transferred to a different vehicle for the remainder trip to Amalfi. The guide who was supposed to manage these transfers, left us in parking lot waiting for our driver with a different driver for a couple going somewhere else. Thus, we and another group were stuck waiting for 45 minutes for our driver to show up. Additionally, when returning from Amalfi, we transferred back to Pompeii to then meet a different bus for the return to Rome (this time a Spanish Language bus). This bus broke down on the way back. Rather than immediately dispatching another bus from Rome, we sat around for 2 hours awaiting a local bus to get there. This bus was not able to enter Rome, necessitating a transfer to a third bus, thus arriving at the final destination nearly 3 hours late. This caused us to unable to get a train, and it required multiple requests of the guide to get a transfer to our hotel. And even this, was just them walking to an unofficial taxi and asking them to take us (in which we were still required to pay).Show moreTrip date: May 2019
