Trip date: December 2024 - DWDeepthi· December 17th, 2024Overall, the tours were well organized and the tour guides and drivers arrived on time. The Anghor Wat tours the 1st day was a bit too tiring especially since we arrived in Siam Riep the previous night. It would be good if you could do the Bayon and Temple in the Jungle the 1st day and do the Anghor Wat the 2nd day. There were a couple of stops which were not quite necessary and was for making the tourists buy stuff. For example the stop on the Tonle Sap river cruise, the artisans stop to buy local crafts, and the stop where they were selling clothing items make of bamboo fibres. The breakfasts buffets were very good. Lunch was good except a few times we got rice and chicken curry repeatedly. The Aconos hotel in Saigon was somewhat barebones and would come under a low 3* rating. The room was small, no mirror in the room. Not much space to put away or hang your clothes. The front desk staff were not very accommodating either. One thing that the the tour operator should have advised us is the amount of luggage we could carry on the internal flights from Hanoi to Siam Reap and Siam Reap to Saigon. We had brought luggage based on the allowance allowed by Singapore Airlines which was 60 lbs check in luggage for each passenger. However, we realized that the VietJet and AghorWat Cambodian airlines only allowed 20 and 23 lbs for each passenger. Would suggest that the tour operator advise the clients of the luggage allowance before they commenced the tour. Amazing landscape, busy cities, delicious food, rich culture, warm people, amazing and interesting activities (one of my favorite - kayaking and swimming in Ha Long Bai, also squid fishing, early morning Tai Chi session, hot air ballooning and many more).
