Day 1
Vilanculos
You'll land at Vilanculos Airport and get transferred to your beachfront hotel with views out over the turquoise Indian Ocean and the Bazaruto Archipelago Islands. Once you're settled in your room, the rest of the day is yours to spend however you like. Walk around the town if you want to get oriented, or just head straight to the beach and relax. There's no pressure to do anything particular.

Day 2
Vilanculos
This is a day to take it easy at the hotel and beach. You can lounge on the sand, hang by the pool, or if you're feeling more active, there are options like snorkeling, fishing, or surfing. Whether you want to do nothing or try a few water activities is entirely up to you.

Day 3
Vilanculos to Benguerra Island
A 15-minute helicopter ride takes you to Benguerra Island in the Bazaruto Archipelago. You'll check into your beach villa and have refreshing snacks and drinks waiting. From there, you can swim in the ocean, walk along the beach, or join whatever activities the resort has scheduled. Later, you'll watch the sunset and plan tomorrow before having dinner out on your villa's deck.

This trip was incredible from start to finish. Wendy, at Agate Travel, was always prompt in replying to my questions during the planning and booking stages. Our guides, Mia and Valentin, and our driver, Julian were fantastic--I can't say enough good things about them. I would highly recommend this trip and this tour company.

This was a very enjoyable trip. Our driver in Morandava was excellent and really good at driving on the bad roads. A truly memorable trip. He had limited English but we really enjoyed our time with him. He was helpful in giving advice in relation to how much we should pay for things in Morandava. Only negative was with our driver in Antananarivo. He collected us very early from our hotel to go to the palace. We arrived at the hotel at 1am and he picked us up at 10am. We would have no issue with this but for he had no plans with what to do with us! We went shopping and to the palace and finished at 1pm. Our flight was until midnight and he had no suggestions of what to do. Ultimately we went for lunch and more shopping. We finished at 4pm and he tried to drop us to the airport! 8 and half hours before our flight. He dropped us off in a Ibis hotel for a drink to pass time but we were so bored we went to the airport for around 7. We couldn't check into our flight for hours. I also paid extra for a night transfer because of our late flight. It's annoying because we could've stayed in the hotel and enjoyed the pool longer in the morning instead of starting at 10. The itinerary also states two dinners included but we received only one.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before January 6th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after January 6th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Agate Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
