- Day 1
Lusaka to Kafue
Your driver meets you at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka and takes you by private car toward your lodge outside Kafue National Park. The drive itself is part of the experience, moving from the city into open bush country. Once you arrive at the lodge, you can settle in and relax, or if you're not too tired, join an afternoon activity to get your first taste of the park.

- Day 2
Kafue
This is a full day in Kafue National Park where you'll pick your activities. Morning and afternoon game drives let you search for elephants, lions, leopards, wild dogs, cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles, and various antelope species, plus plenty of birds. Walking safaris and boat trips on the Kafue River are also options. After lunch you'll have downtime on the outdoor terrace overlooking the water before heading back out for more wildlife spotting. Dinner happens under the stars.

Kafue to Busanga Plains
A 5-hour game drive takes you north into Busanga Plains, the remote heart of Kafue National Park. Few other vehicles come through here, so you get real isolation and quiet. After settling into your luxury safari tent, you can rest on the wooden deck or jump into an afternoon game drive if you want to start exploring the surrounding landscape right away.

Busanga Plains
The vast flood plain of Busanga Plains opens up with multiple chances to see wildlife and birds. Walking safaris start early, just after sunrise, to beat the heat and move quietly through the plains around camp. Game drives happen at sunrise and again at night. The area draws large numbers of birds, particularly once rainy season ends and plants attract more species.

Busanga Plains
Another day in this untouched wilderness starts with a morning game drive hunting for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and wild dogs. Later in the afternoon you can try an electric bicycle safari or go birding, or simply stay at camp by the pool or in your tent watching the plains. As darkness comes, you'll have time to sit with the stars and think back on your time in Africa.

Busanga Plains to Kafue
Early breakfast comes first, then a 5-hour game drive takes you back toward Kafue, arriving by early afternoon. After a tea break, you'll have the rest of the day for activities you might have missed earlier, whether that's a sunset cruise or more game drives.
