Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Kathmandu

    A Sherpa Expedition and Trekking representative will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport with a company signboard. From there, you'll get a private vehicle transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu, where you can relax and recover from your flight.

  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu to Jagat

    After breakfast, you'll drive from Kathmandu to Besishahar in the morning, then switch to a jeep for 3 hours to reach Jagat. This is your first night of trekking, and you'll stay near the Marsyangdi River.

  3. Day 3

    Jagat to Dharapani

    Following breakfast, you'll start walking along the Marsyangdi River on a trail that climbs gradually through a wide valley. The path takes you past waterfalls and stone staircases, and by the end of the day you'll arrive in Dharapani.

  4. Day 4

    Dharapani to Chame

    Trekking continues from Dharapani with mountain and waterfall views alongside an easy trail. After roughly 5 hours of walking, you'll reach Chame, a small town that serves as the district headquarters for Manang with better facilities than the previous stops.

  5. Day 5

    Chame to Pisang

    From Chame after breakfast, you'll climb up to Telekhu and then follow a mostly flat forest path to Bhrathang. A suspension bridge crosses the Marsyangdi, and after passing through Dhikurpokhari, you'll trek for 45 more minutes to reach Pisang for the night.

  6. Day 6

    Pisang to Ngawal

    Rising early to catch the sunrise over Annapurna II, you'll have breakfast and then head toward Ngawal on a higher route at about 400m elevation gain. Along the way you'll see alpine plants, wildlife, gorges, and views of Annapurna and Pisang Peak. You'll spend the night in Ngawal Village.

  7. Day 7

    Ngawal to Manang

    Your trek today goes through hills, jungle, and wetlands with stupas and a lama school to see. After about 5 hours of walking through those varied landscapes, you'll arrive in Manang village, which is one of the main highlights of this entire trek.

  8. Day 8

    Acclimatization Day in Manang

    You're staying in Manang village for a rest day to let your body adjust to the altitude and avoid sickness. Feel free to wander the village or hike in the afternoon if you'd like, with options to visit Gangapurna Lake or Lama Cave. You'll stay at a teahouse here.

  9. Day 9

    Manang to Yak Kharka or Ledar

    After breakfast, you'll trek uphill for about 4 hours through juniper forests to Yak Kharka, where yaks often graze. You'll pass a teahouse at Thorong Khola, and depending on conditions, you might trek further to Ledar for the night at a teahouse.

  10. Day 10

    Yak Kharka or Ledar to Thorong Phedi

    This is a shorter acclimatization day where you keep ascending through wilder terrain. You'll descend to cross Jarsang Khola and then cross a scree slope to reach Thorong Phedi at the base of Thorong La pass. The conditions are cold and windy here.

  11. Day 11

    Thorong Phedi to Muktinath

    Today you'll cross Thorong La, the world's highest navigable mountain pass. After 6 hours from Phedi on an ancient traders' route, you'll reach the pass with views of Annapurna, Gangapurna, and other peaks. The descent brings Mt Dhaulagiri into view as you reach grassy fields and arrive at Muktinath, a major Hindu pilgrimage site known for its natural hot water springs.

    From Muktinath after breakfast, you'll trek toward Jomsom through meadows, streams, and apple orchards. You'll pass through Kagbeni and continue down to Jomsom in the Kali Gandaki Valley, where you'll stay the night.

    Jomsom to Pokhara

    You'll drive to Pokhara through the world's deepest canyon, positioned between Mt Annapurna and Mt Dhaulagiri with snow-topped peaks visible throughout. After checking into your hotel, you can rest or walk around the Lakeside area near Fewa Lake to shop for souvenirs or try local food.

    I recently completed the Annapurna Circuit trek with Sherpa Expedition, guided by Ramesh, and I can’t recommend them enough! Ramesh is incredibly experienced, caring, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire journey.     We recently completed the Manaslu Circuit Trek with Sherpa Expedition and Trekking, and it was truly one of the best experiences of our lives! Our guide Dawa Sherpa was incredible – he may be small in size, but he has a huge heart! So kind, attentive, and always looking out for us every single step of the way. He even helped carry our backpack on the challenging Larke La Pass day – we will never forget that! Our porter Hari was also wonderful – always smiling and so supportive throughout the trek. Together, they made us feel safe, cared for, and completely at ease in the mountains. The teahouses they arranged for us were excellent – clean, comfortable, and with delicious food. Everything was so well organized from start to finish. We didn’t have to worry about anything – just enjoy the stunning scenery and the journey. We highly recommend Sherpa Expedition and Trekking to anyone planning a trek in Nepal. Thank you Dawa, Hari, and the entire team for such a memorable adventure. We hope to trek with you again soon!

    Trekking to Everest Base Camp was the adventure of a lifetime, and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner than Sherpa Travel Agency. My guide, Frunzi, was incredibly kind, attentive, and supportive—always adjusting the pace to suit me and making sure I was safe and well every step of the way. Together with Bala, our strong and cheerful porter, they helped me reach the base camp successfully and with confidence. The agency provided the best possible accommodations in the mountains, with great vegetarian meal options throughout the trek. Ram, the agency owner, stayed in constant contact and generously offered high-quality gear (sleeping bag, poles, and down jacket) free of charge. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, and I wholeheartedly recommend this tour for anyone taking on this incredible journey.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before January 17th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after January 17th, 2026, a minimum payment of 50% is required to confirm your booking with Sherpa Expedition Teams. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
