Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi to Ba Be Lake
You'll leave Hanoi around 8 AM, taking mountain roads that skip the heavy city traffic. After stopping for lunch in Cho Chu town (Thai Nguyen province), the ride continues toward Ba Be Lake with scenic mountain views along the way. You'll arrive at Pac Ngoi village by 4 PM to settle in with a Tay family homestay.

Ba Be Lake to Bao Lac
After an early breakfast with the family, you'll walk about 1km to the pier for a 1.5-hour boat cruise around Ba Be Lake. Lunch happens back with the Tay family, then you'll head out on off-road motorcycles through Ba Be National Park, small villages and streams for some challenging afternoon riding. You reach Bao Lac by 5 PM.

Bao Lac to Dong Van
Starting around 9 AM, you'll take a relaxing scenic motorbike ride along the Gam River through green mountains. Meo Vac is where you'll stop for lunch, and from there the route crosses Ma-Pi-Leng Pass, one of the longest and most beautiful passes in North Vietnam with multiple spots to stop for photos. You'll pass through Dong Van Rock Plateau Global Geopark and see local ethnic minority villages before arriving in Dong Van.

- Day 4
Dong Van to Ha Giang
You'll ride through northern Vietnam's most dramatic landscapes on this scenic motorbike tour. The route takes you past ethnic minority villages, to the Vuong Palace in Dong Van, and through the 'Heaven Gate' in Quan Ba while exploring the Rock Plateau. Late afternoon brings you into Ha Giang.

- Day 5
Ha Giang to Lao Cai
After breakfast, you'll ride about 40 km on Road No. 2, then branch onto smaller roads toward Pho Rang through green mountains, rice fields and ethnic villages. You'll have lunch in Pho Rang, then continue to Lao Cai on winding roads with changing views. Before heading to Lao Cai Railway Station, you'll check out the China-Vietnam border. After loading motorcycles onto the train and having dinner, you'll take the night train back to Hanoi.
