Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival at Incheon
You'll be greeted at Incheon International Airport and transferred to your hotel. Since check-in isn't until 14:00, you have the afternoon and evening to unwind and get settled after your journey.
- Day 2
Seoul
Start the day with breakfast, then head to Gyeongbokgung Palace (or Deoksu Palace if it's Tuesday) to catch the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony. Spend time at the National Folk Museum and Korean Ginseng Center afterward. After lunch, you'll make the 90-minute trip to Korean Folk Village, where about 260 traditional houses from the late Joseon Dynasty are spread across the grounds, each representing different provinces.

Gongju to Jeonju
Leave Seoul early for Gongju, a 130km drive taking around 1.5 hours. You'll see the Tomb of King Muryeong on Songsan Mountain, a UNESCO-listed royal tomb from the Baekje Dynasty, and then explore Gongsanseong Fortress, another UNESCO site with over 2.6 kilometers of walls built during the same period. From there, head to Jeonju, about an hour away, to wander through Jeonju Hanok Village and its roughly 700 traditional houses.

Gwangju to Yeosu
After breakfast, travel to Gwangju for 1 hour 20 minutes (100km), a city central to Korea's democracy movement. You'll visit the May 18th National Cemetery, which remembers 764 victims from the 1980 uprising. Later, drive an hour to Suncheon to see Suncheon Bay Garden, then continue to the port city of Yeosu to explore the historic path linked to Admiral Yi Sun-sin.

Jinju to Busan
Following breakfast, check out Jinjuseong Fortress with its reinforced stone walls (roughly 1,760 meters around), significant for the 1592 Japanese invasion. Then take a 1.5-hour bus ride to Busan (100km). Once you arrive at the station, head straight to Jagalchi Fishery Market, Busan's main seafood market, before spending time at Haeundae Beach and Dongbaek Park.

Busan to Gyeongju to Wonju
Start with breakfast, then travel to Seokguram Grotto, a UNESCO site sitting 750 meters up with views toward the Sea of Japan, featuring Buddhist sculptures built between 742 and 774. Next, visit Bulguksa Temple, Korea's most well-known Buddhist temple from the 8th century with important Silla relics and stone pagodas. Drive 2 hours 30 minutes to Hahoe Folk Village, a UNESCO site preserving Joseon architecture where Queen Elizabeth II once visited. Finally, head to Wonju (about 2 hours), a city surrounded by Chiaksan Mountain and the Seom River.

Wonju to Seoraksan
Have breakfast and start at Alpensia Resort, the primary site for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, known for its open landscapes and views. Travel 1.5 hours to Sokcho. Stop at Jumunjin Hyangho Beach in Gangneung, which gained attention as a BTS filming location and offers surf lessons and beach activities. Wrap up at Seoraksan National Park with its jagged peaks and clear water, recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Preservation District since 1982.

Free Day in Sokcho
You have a free day in Sokcho to relax and do as you please. In the evening, you'll have an authentic Hanjeongsik meal, a traditional Korean royal feast with tender meats, premium seafood, and fermented sides like ginseng wine and live octopus, along with desserts. The experience also includes wearing a Hanbok (traditional Korean dress).
