Itinerary
- Day 1
Tarangire National Park
Your safari kicks off with a drive into Tarangire National Park, where you'll spend the day on game drives across savannah dotted with seasonal swamps and those iconic baobab trees. The park holds up to 300 elephants, and you'll also spot giraffes, buffaloes, and over 550 bird species throughout the day. By evening you'll reach the campsite inside the park and settle into your tent for the first night.

Tarangire to Lake Manyara
After breakfast you head to Lake Manyara National Park, which is known for hosting over 400 bird species, forests filled with primates, and an alkaline lake where flamingos and other water birds congregate. The game drive takes you through areas where you'll see elephants, giraffes, hippos, wildebeest, impalas, monkeys and baboons. In the afternoon you'll travel to the village of Mto wa Mbu and camp at a site that has both a pool and bar.

Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
You'll drive through lush highlands and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with stops to view the Ngorongoro Crater before heading into Serengeti National Park. The landscape opens up into endless plains with unusual rock formations called kopjes scattered across the grassland. Depending on timing, you might see the famous migration with thousands of animals moving through. You arrive at your campsite in Seronera Valley in the central Serengeti by late afternoon.

- Day 4
Serengeti National Park
This entire day goes to game drives across the Serengeti. Your guide will track down the migrating herds and position you well for viewing wildlife. You're looking at wildebeest, zebras, lions, leopards, cheetahs and other predators throughout the day. Another night follows at the Seronera area campsite.

Landmarks Serengeti National Park - Day 5
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Start with a morning game drive in the Serengeti where you might catch animals you haven't seen yet, including members of the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard). After lunch at a picnic site, you drive toward the Ngorongoro Crater. When you reach the crater's edge, the caldera opens up revealing roughly 25,000 animals living inside. You'll camp right on the crater's edge with views directly over the caldera.

- Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Rise early for breakfast, then drive down into the world's largest caldera. Inside you'll encounter black rhinos, Grant's and Thomson's gazelles, lions, leopards, elephants, mountain reedbucks, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs and over 500 bird species. After an intensive game drive and picnic lunch inside the crater, you leave in the afternoon and travel back to Arusha, arriving in the early evening.
