Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll arrive in Kathmandu with airport transfer arranged, then head to your hotel to settle in. The afternoon and evening are yours to do as you like. Rest if you need it, wander through Thamel district on your own, or join the optional guided tour hitting Swayambhunath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. There's a welcome dinner in the evening so you can meet other travelers.

Kathmandu
This is a full guided city tour covering Kathmandu's UNESCO sites. You'll start at Pashupatinath Temple watching sacred rituals along the Bagmati River, then move to Boudhanath Stupa with its high views of the city. After that, you climb to Swayambhunath Stupa for more vistas, finishing at Kathmandu Durbar Square to see the palaces and temples. Traditional Nepalese food is throughout the day.

Patan - Bhaktapur
Head to Patan to explore Patan Durbar Square with its detailed temples and palaces including Krishna Mandir and Golden Gate. You'll watch local artisans making metal sculptures and woodcarvings, then walk through the narrow streets with traditional Newari houses. In the afternoon, travel to Bhaktapur's Durbar Square to check out the 55 Window Palace and Nyatapola Temple, plus visit pottery workshops. Newari cuisine features throughout.

Kathmandu to Lumbini
A 10-hour bus ride takes you from Kathmandu to Lumbini, Buddha's birthplace. The drive shows how the landscape shifts from city buildings to terraced farmfields, rivers, and green woodlands. You'll arrive and check into your hotel, ready to explore this spiritual location the next day.

Landmarks Lumbini - Day 5
Lumbini
You'll visit Mayadevi Temple at Lumbini, the exact spot where Buddha was born, then go down to the old pool. Next you see the ancient palace ruins nearby and the Ashoka Pillar from the 3rd century BCE. A traditional rickshaw takes you through the gardens to several monasteries including the Royal Thai Monastery and Myanmar Golden Monastery, where you can watch monks going about their routines.

Lumbini to Pokhara
The 6-8 hour bus journey from Lumbini to Pokhara passes waterfalls, small villages, rice paddies, and rolling plains before the Annapurna mountains come into view. Once there, you check into your resort and take a sunset boat ride on Phewa Lake, watching the snow peaks reflect in the water.

Landmarks Phewa Lake Annapurna Range - Day 7
Pokhara
Start early at Sarangkot Hill to watch the sunrise hit the snow-capped Annapurna peaks and turn them gold. If you're interested, paragliding or zip-lining are options. Later, visit Bindhyabasini Temple for city views, then the Pokhara Mountain Museum to learn about mountaineering and Sherpa culture. You can explore at your own pace after that, checking out spots like Seti Gandaki River, the Lakeside area, or Himalayan Botanical Garden.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
An 8-9 hour bus ride brings you back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. On the way, you'll see the landscape change from snow peaks to rolling hills, fertile plains, and villages. It's a good time to think back on everything you've done. You'll arrive in the evening for a farewell dinner with the group to wrap up and celebrate the friendships you've made.

Kathmandu Departure
Your last day in Nepal. About three hours before your flight, Peregrine Treks will pick you up for the airport. That gives you time to check in and get through security. Before the transfer, you might have a few hours to walk around Kathmandu one more time or grab some final souvenirs before heading out.
