- Day 1

You'll arrive in Rio de Janeiro with mid-afternoon check-in at your hotel, so there's time to drop your bags and get oriented before things get going. Use these first few hours to walk around near your accommodation or head to a nearby café and soak in the local atmosphere. The city has this incredible energy right from the moment you step outside, so don't feel like you need to do anything too structured just yet.
