- Day 1
Hanoi
After landing at Hanoi airport, your driver and German-speaking guide will pick you up and take you to your hotel in the city center (about 35 km, roughly 35 minutes). Check-in starts at 14:00. The rest of the day is yours to do what you like. You could grab a massage to shake off the flight or wander the narrow streets of the Old Town on your own.

Hanoi
This is a full day exploring Hanoi's highlights. You'll visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex with its mausoleum (entry is optional), the Presidential Palace, the historic Stilt House, and One Pillar Pagoda. From there, head to the Temple of Literature and take a walk around Hoan Kiem Lake to check out Ngoc Son Temple. Later, hop on a rickshaw ride through the Old Quarter. The day finishes with a Water Puppet Theatre performance in the evening.

- Day 3
Hanoi to Halong Bay
You'll depart early for Halong Bay, known as the Bay of the Descending Dragon with nearly 2000 islands and limestone cliffs. Board your junk boat for an overnight cruise. Settle in and enjoy the dramatic landscape, a seafood dinner, and watch the sunset from the water.

Halong Bay to Hue
Morning and early afternoon continue cruising through Halong Bay's UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll have breakfast on board, then after lunch, disembark and head to Hanoi airport for an afternoon flight to Hue. Your German-speaking guide meets you at Hue airport and transfers you to your hotel.

Hue
A full day exploring Hue starts with a boat trip on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, where you'll see the impressive Phuoc Duyen Tower, the highest pagoda in Vietnam. Next, visit the Imperial Palace and tour the imperial city including Trang Tien Bridge and Dong Ba Market. In the afternoon, explore Hue's royal tombs and garden houses. The tour wraps up around 17:00, leaving the rest of the day free.

Hue to Hoi An
Travel from Hue to Hoi An takes about 150 km over 3.5 hours, with a stop at Cloud Pass (496 meters), which marks the weather divide between north and south Vietnam. You'll see Lang Co beach and Marble Mountains in Danang, then hike to Marble Mountain's summit for views of Danang city. After that, continue to Hoi An and check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free to settle in.

- Day 7
Hoi An
Walking through Hoi An's winding narrow streets of the Old Quarter, you'll visit Chua Ong or Phuc Kien Pagoda, the Assembly Hall, the 200-year-old Tam Ky House, and the covered Japanese Bridge. Later, take in a cultural show with traditional music and dance. Then tour the Precious Heritage Museum with Rehahn's Precious Heritage Collection. A bike tour takes you to Tra Que village to explore vegetable farms, get a foot massage, and prepare your own lunch. You'll return to the hotel by van with the rest of the day free.

Saigon to Mekong Delta
Head out on an excursion to the Mekong Delta, Vietnam's southernmost region and the breadbasket where rice grows for the whole country. Drive to Ben Tre (about 90 km, 2 hours) in the coastal Mekong province. Start a boat trip on the Mekong, stopping at a small farm to sample local fruit and tea. Then take a rickshaw to a restaurant for lunch. Continue by small boat through narrow waterways back to Ben Tre, and transfer back to Saigon. Arrive at your hotel overnight.

The drive passes large farms with green landscape, and dragon fruit is the main regional crop you might want to try.

Mui Ne
These days are free for you to do what you like in Mui Ne. Take walks along the white sandy shoreline or relax at your beachfront resort. You could visit the Cham Towers for wonderful coastal views of Phan Thiet town. If you're looking for action, try sand surfing, quad biking, or dune buggy rides on the sand dunes.
