Biar
You arrive in Biar and find yourself in a town defined by its impressive 12th-century castle perched overhead. Spend time walking through the old town, checking out the churches and navigating the narrow streets and squares. Grab lunch or dinner at one of the local bars and restaurants to try some regional specialties, which is really where you get a feel for what people eat around here.

Banyeres de Mariola to Bocairent
Today you're cycling alongside the Vinalopó River on a path that follows an old railroad line. You'll pass through orchards and small villages as you make your way to Banyeres de Mariola. There are two route options: one keeps to relatively flat ground and runs along the edge of Sierra de Mariola Natural Park, while the other takes you through the park itself with some climbing and better views. Either way, you finish in Bocairent, a medieval village where you'll stay for the night (about 35-45 km depending on your choice).

Bocairent
After breakfast, you can either spend the morning and early afternoon exploring Bocairent's medieval quarter at your own pace, or take a cycling route through La Valleta d'Agres if you want to keep moving. The cycling option follows quiet country roads through orchards at the base of Sierra de Mariola, passing through Alfafara and Agres, two villages that each have their own character and appeal.

Fontanars dels Alforins
You're cycling on small roads today, moving through grain fields, olive groves, and vineyards toward Fontanars dels Alforins. Along the way, you'll come across old manor houses that have been converted into wineries or shops selling handmade goods. There's an opportunity to do some wine tasting here, so if that interests you, plan to spend some time sampling what's available (about 25-30 km).

Xàtiva
The cycling today takes you through fields covered with almond, olive, persimmon, and apricot trees, plus vineyards in all directions. You'll ride past Ontinyent and its historic old town, then cross near the Bellús reservoir. After that, you follow a really nice gorge beside the River Albaida as you head toward Xàtiva, a historic town where you'll notice its impressive castle on the hillside long before you arrive (about 40-50 km).

Cullera
Leaving Xàtiva behind, you head into the Huerta Valenciana region, which is known for producing some of the best oranges around. You'll cycle on quiet paths through orange groves, then switch to following an old pilgrimage route that connects monasteries. Stop by Simat de la Valldigna, and from there you'll cycle through rice fields heading toward Cullera, a coastal town where you can see the sea and eat typical rice dishes. If the weather cooperates, there's time to spend on the beaches (about 45-55 km).

Valencia
Start the day exploring Albufera Natural Park, one of the most important natural areas in the Mediterranean with its mix of lakes, sand dunes, and pine forests. You'll eat a traditional regional meal and can take a boat trip with local fishermen if you want that experience. Later, you head into Valencia to check out the historic center, the Cathedral, the Central Market, and wander through the network of small streets where you can stop at cafes or grab dinner at local restaurants.
